@StillflyxGeorge As far as my preferences go, no they aren't. As far as musicianship goes, they could be close or very far from being better. Example: Metallica>DWP, Pantera>DWP, In Flames>DWP. However, as semi-original as their sound is, it also spawned a lot of shit (Attack Attack, Vampires Everywhere, etc). It is also far from the standards of metal, which is what this awards show promotes. If there were awards for hardcore, DWP would belong there.

In fact, my favorite band happens to be Linkin Park, who it doesn't take an idiot to figure that they aren't speed metal. What I'm saying is a metal awards show shouldn't welcome DWP. I'm suggesting that there should be an awards show for hardcore. I've seen both live, and I thought they were both decent but not noteworthy. Then again, I'm not a huge fan of either.
