Not sure. She was all ready to play another song, but then she said she realised the date and that she was in a church so she had to play this. No matter what reason, I'm so glad she did!

She wrote this song about a man she was with for a long time, she also wrote Good Day, Boston, and the Jeep Song about him. After they broke up, he moved to New York, and shortly after was 9/11 and she was worried.

And in the lyrics there are loads of references to 9/11.

Many songs like "The Jeep Song", "Boston" and this song, wore written about Amanda's break up with her Ex Boyfriend, the actor. After the break up, while she was still heart broken by him, he moved to New York, and the two lost contact; well more like HE cut her out of his like/wanted nothing to do with her. Anyway, Sept 11th rolls around and she realized that he was in new york. So in a way, 9/11 sparked the formation of this song, hence why she felt it necessary to play this on that day.

@uniquepresence To everyone wondering this song was written specificly about 9/11. Not only has she said so in past interveiws but the lyrics are quite clear. I'll pull a few out. "you can take all of the carry-on baggage" Carry on baggage, you know what that means. Although, I do see hint of a past romance in this song- its mostly 9/11.
