  • so beautiful.... but looks difficult.... beautiful... difficult.. :( but m still gona try!

  • Thank you for being so lucid with your explanations. If I want to use 2 yarns (colors) how do I go about when I start knitting?

  • @LatingGirl If you're talking about knitting double-stranded, then just hold the two yarns together as if they were one while you knit. If you're talking about working stripes, then you're going to have to cut and restart the yarn for each tier. The entrelac pattern won't allow you to "carry" both colors.

  • I am working on an intrelacscarf and have finished the top tiers. How do I continue? I have one stitch left on the needle and the pattern tells me to bind off. But I don't want the project to end there, I want to make it 74 inches long. How do I continue?

  • @nightmoth1 Are you working from the free pattern that goes with this video? The pattern tells you to repeat Tiers 1 and 2 until you get the length you want, then work the Final Tier.

  • Thank you so much for the instruction. I now have my first entrelac scarf for my husband. :)

  • I love how evrytym i knit anythng in my hands i always hear the sounds of the needles "click" together, knowing that i am actually knitting.hehe. <3

  • Love your clear instructions! Can you please tell us what yarn you used in the video?

  • @fraugerm The pattern calls for Noro Silk Garden, and I used Universal Classic Shades in the videos. YouTube won't let me give you a link here in the comments, but a quick google search will bring it up. :)

  • I used stitch markers to separate the different sections of the work. It just makes it a lot easier for me so I don't have to do any counting that will slow me down :) :)

  • @akphorseluvr Stitch markers are useful, but can be somewhat tedious for this project. After you've picked up stitches for a section, you have to remove and replace the markers before you can SSK or p2tog. I choose not to use them, but I know other knitters prefer to use them.

  • @verypinkknits I will keep that in mind when I'm knitting this scarf. Thanks for the video!!! Love it!

  • I don't know what I did wrong, but when I got on tier 1, over to the right base triangle, I picked up and did the knitting or purling, as the pattern says( I don't currently have it open), But, but base triangle didn't get picked up. I had it hanging. and I couldn't figure out what I did wrong. Can you explain what I can do, if you understand what I did?

  • @Mrcomputergeek81 Without seeing your work myself, I can't say exactly what you did, but I have a guess. I'm going to guess that instead of working the instructions for the right base triangle, you actually worked another square, making it look as if it was hanging off the edge. The good thing about Entrelac is that you can just unravel that tiny section to fix it (and not rows and rows of scarf).

  • Entrelac is amazing *_* i'll try soon :D :D do you think that it's a good thing make an entrelac blanket with scrap yarn?

  • @91ArtisticManiac91 Entrelac will work with any yarn. Give it a try and see how it looks with the scrap yarn that you have!

  • @verypinkknits Ok, :) Thanks ^^

  • Did you move? I remember windows in your other videos.

  • @11Wizardry9911 Yes! We're shooting in a new, dedicated studio instead of my dining room. :)

  • Excellent video and clear instructions...I've got the courage to try Entrelac now. Thank you and please continue making videos.

  • Is there anyway you could make a video on the stuff that you've knit and where you keep/organize all your supplies?

  • @ZoeAliceAcri That's a great idea - thank you for the suggestion! :)

  • Thank you for doing this video for me that I requested your'e awesome and now I understand entrelac alot more :)

  • OMG thank you sooo much for this tutorial! I've always been tempted to knit entrelac myself!

But, well, the thing is I want a beret and that requires knitting in the round technique (which I've heard is quite "daunting"), so I'm wondering if you could spare me some time and show me how to knit one please??

    Thanks a lot in advance

  • @BridgetteVedant I don't have any plans to do a tutorial for knitting Entrelac in the round anytime soon, but you never know! Thank you for the suggestion!

  • i'd suggest putting a stitch marker after each section as you finish them.

  • very nice

  • Thank you so much for showing how to do that! Such an impressive technique!

  • 5h30 in the morning, the best way to begin a day =)

It's definitely gonna be my next work, entrelac looks very fun to knit.

  • i'm so glad you posted this video! I've been trying to figure it out for a while. very helpful :)
