  • Madam or anyone.. What is that fab tune your playing? Sounds blue grass!

  • @Dravenstars It's actually one of my own tunes. Thanks for calling it "Fab"!

  • Omg I want that guitar so bad <3 btw you're a really good guitar player! :)

  • @ahliistar :) Thank you.

  • Carrie will you marry me? Just saying.

I just picked up a Taylor 710ce. Awesome. BTW, aren't most 700 series are Indian Rosewood back & sides, compared to your mentioning of Koa ? I have a 90s vintage Rivera Sedona amp that rules on acoustics IMO. The DN3 I have sounds somewhat"darker" I think & also amazing. 600 series in Maple OMG !!

  • @CarbonSource Congratulations on your new guitar! Yes, the 700 series is typically Indian Rosewood. This one was a limited edition 700 series guitar, though, thus the Koa wood.

  • I want to buy a talyor guitar witch would you recomend ? :)

  • @MaxEBra96 It would somewhat depend on your price range and more importantly what tonal properties you want.

  • You have a fan :) I love the stuff and how you play x I was thinking Martin but am leaning towards Taylor now. I'm trading my Gibson Les Paul in to go acoustic.

  • @Dravenstars Thank you! Both Martin and Taylor make great guitars. Play everything you can in your price range and then get the guitar that you don't want to put down once you play it.....the one that "speaks" to you. You can't go wrong when you pick a guitar out that way.

  • I love women who can play guitar :)

  • nice playing, and great guitar. I enjoyed the vid.

  • @ridethatbike76 Thank you!

  • What's the difference between the 714 and 814 by sound or which edition do you(in your opinion) think sounds the best? By the way do you work for Guitar Center?

  • @ZeroNitron Both the 714ce and 814ce sound great. The 714ce has a cedar top and has forward shifted braces. The 814ce has a sitka spruce top and sitka CV bracing with relief routs. Personally, I prefer the 814ce.....especially since Taylor began putting the CV bracing in it.

And, no, I don't work for Guitar Center. I work for Portland Music Co.

  • Hi Carrie, I'm looking at getting a Taylor 10CE do you recomend it ?

  • @ChefsOffice I think part of your model is missing.....which one are you looking at? Is it a 710CE? Regardless of model, however, if you love the guitar then get it. Taylors are great guitars.

  • how much is the 714ce sell for? i have martin d35 but i really like the sound of this taylor

  • @lawnmonkey7 This one sold, but we do stock the standard 714CE that sells for $2799.00. We also have a few very cool 2011 Spring Ltd. Taylors in stock also.

  • Maybe Eric Clap. is a very nice man but his fans, they are mostly jerks and wannabees and they never learn to play themselvs, That is why I like the rolling stones better, and now I like Carrie too. they are the cool guys

  • @MsCaleb79 That's such a nice thing to say. Carrie

  • do u have a complete video of u playing the 1st fingerstyle song u play on this guitar. it's so beautiful & introspective. would love to hear it all.

  • I want an acoustic guitar...can you guys give me one for free?

  • what's the price of this guitar?

  • my favorite thing about taylors is their resonation really

  • would cedar tops work with blues like robert johnson and stefan grossman style of fingerpicking?

  • Nice Carrie. Greetings from Costa Rica. I want this guitar so bad.... but cant find it anywhere.... :(

  • I tried that guitar yesterday, it's magic!

  • I like that tune you played. Sounds good :)

  • What kind of amp is it plugged into?

  • @TheGuitarguy64 a Fender Acoustasonic 30 DSP.

  • Giggidy!

  • im from portland!!!!!!!!

  • OMG. when she flipped it to the back, i was like dang thats freakin beautiful! awesome guitar!

  • a martin and a taylor are the number 1 guitars..sorry for the gibson i dont like the sound .....i got a taylor and it was a big choice between the taylor and the martin !

  • around 3200-3500 euros in France

  • Great info and playing. Why don't more women play guitar? It's hot as hell. Nothing is more attractive that a woman who can play guitar.

  • Taylor guitars are for girls, they are easy to play and have no soul

  • @lerlo what...

  • Fuck that shit. The high ends are up there with Martin and Gibson.

  • but i do like martins equally just saying taylors are way better than what your implying

  • great justification, so if the guitar is hard to play its a MANS guitar right? this guitar is one of the best sounding guitars ive ever played, so it is your opinion that it has no soul. if you want to talk shit, please have some hard evidence to back it up.

  • I've tried this guitar, wanted to take it off the wall again when I was at the music store but I couldn't find it anymore...

    Great video.

  • how much things like that cost>>

  • like around 3 or 4gs probly

  • why are they so expensive? personally I'd go with a gibson or fender the same prices

  • because its handmade in the USA and this guitar is make out of Koa which is a projected wood. it only grows in hawaii, and the only trees suitable for making guitars is above 5000 feet. only a few trees are aloud to be harvested per year and theres only about 400 or so of these guitars ever made.

  • It was @ $2800.00 This one has sold, though. Wish they made this a stock model. It was one of my favorites.

  • i say less talk and more getting naked and playing the guitar.

  • Carrie, we have not seen a new video from you in a long time. You have such a special way about you. Please play for us again soon.

  • We've got some really cool new stuff coming in soon. I will definitely be adding some new videos....you'll probably get sick of me!

  • play "marry me" by train, & i will! your hot!

  • What song is the melody you are playing from?

  • It's one of my own songs....it's call "Only You".

  • Beautiful guitar! ..And you are so sexy playing it and explain about it!!

  • carrie

    i love your store!!

you have my 2 favourite guitars:

    taylor and martin!

    thanks

  • Thank you! Glad you love our store....I love it too!

  • Taylor's rule!!!

On a trip to charing cross rd I played many guitar's including 3k gibson's, which struggled to compete (sound wise) with the Taylor.

  • ...agrees that Carrie is cute!

    and I hate Taylors

  • It is HUGE! I wanted to try this one out, but Kerry, either you are a tiny little thing or that guitar is JUMBO PLUS! Do tell!

    I want one ... bad.

  • Tiny but tall......

  • ohw.. so many guitar at ur back.. i wish i cud have one of them for fee :D (dreaming) ur so cool:D.. a gurl playing guitar skillfully

  • lol yngwie

  • youre hot

  • Carrie, You were very helpful, knowledge-

able, and pleasant to speak with when I

came in. You run a great shop there.

Thanks for your time and the info, it made

my guitar buying decision much easier.

  • Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad I was able to help make things easier. I know how stressful these decisions can be. I'm sure it helps that I love what I do! Happy playing!

  • whats the price tag on it?

  • Carrie you are so cute. I'm buying this guitar.

  • carrie, your hot! are you single?

  • Hey, what nice sound this guitar makes !!

The sound is kind of muscular, I think.

It is pretty different from the sound that Martin D-28, which I have, makes.

It has the beauty of its own.

    How much is it ?

    Andy

  • probly around the 3,500 dollar range-certainly no less than 3000
