Iran has been the target all along. It is sandwiched between Iraq and Afghanistan. THe troops have been positioning for 5 years. We have had forward tropps in Iran for a long time, perhaps, early 2004. It can be easily documented that CIA and Elite Troops have been redeploying into Iran since 2005.
It is imminent. Bush could not sleep at night, if he allowed the "job" to go unfinished and leave it up to some other president to finish what he and his father started.

Where will all the forces come from? They are right next door in Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, and all the other American bases in the area. The technology of American fighter jets is so advanced Iran cannot defend itself. There will be no dogfights and no planes getting shot down.
After 1 night of bombing there won't be a usable runway anywhere in Iran to launch a plane anyhow. Thats what they did in 1991.

Iran will launch missiles at Israel but the newest levels of US anti-missile technology will prove to be too effective.
The Americans will continue their attacks until it is getting hard to even find any remaining military in Iran THEN go in with land units to secure the country.
In the end the only real threat will be more terrorists like the fictional sharpshooter scenario thuderbay mentioned. I'm sure the US troops are getting good at avoiding those by now.

Iran has been the target all along. It is sandwiched between Iraq and Afghanistan. THe troops have been positioning for 5 years. We have had forward tropps in Iran for a long time, perhaps, early 2004. It can be easily documented that CIA and Elite Troops have been redeploying into Iran since 2005.
