actually there are many ways of throwing knives ...you can throw by the handle, blade and there is not certain grip for the knife its based on rotation and distance. The grip is what is comfortable for you ...also any knife can be thrown ....the weight and length has not to do wheather it can be thrown. they can you just have to find the distance and rotation . Just some advise ...been throwing knives for well over 10 years .....once you figure that out you can throw anything with a point.

There's a couple things that annoy me here, for one you didn't even throw the fucking knife so how are we supposed to know that this is in fact the correct way to throw it and two the knife you were demonstrating with, I think it should be held with the sharp side facing the direction you are throwing in, not that it needs to be sharp to stick but I would assume that the balance of the weapon would be slightly off, but I guess you are the professional now aren't you
sometime within the next week or so i plan on making a tutorial on how I throw. I would say that I am not the most precise thrower so I am not sure if you will get the tips youre looking for. I will say this, consistency is the most important thing when throwing knives.
What? Don't be afraid of the knife? That is the ONE thing to be afraid about with knife throwing. I guess it depends on what you are throwing and how hard you throw. I throw heavier knives fast, so they can come flying back with a lot of energy. You always need to be aware of the flying, sharp, and unpredictable steel that has the potential to do some serious damage. Spoken from experience.

New proposed rules from the U S Customs will broaden the definitions of illegal knives to include all Knife's that can be opened with one hand which will in effect ban ALL pocket knives nationwide that can be opened with one hand
