  • pull off serpent. run motor. if noise still occurs check your cam for wear.

  • to many videos of bad ls1 motors  im sticking with my 302 the best

  • to be honest sounds like a pully bearing...it doesnt do a knock to me...a knock would be every stroke consistantly...yours sounds like that front tensioner pully let me know what you found thanks

  • @mrgreen386dls This was my brothers old car, he's pretty mechanically incompetent so he sold it for cheap instead of trying to fix it.

    He sold it to a young guy that had a turbo LS1 car, that he wrecked, and only wanted the body.

  • I have the same sound coming from a 540 chevy, I'm thinking it may be a wrist pin or rod bearing sent you a PM get back to me.
