 川添先生ですねぇ。あの上海列車事故綴当時、私は陸上自衛隊東千­歳の部隊で新隊員でした。ニュースを見た時、思わず大声で叫んで­しまい、同室の先輩に怒られたのを覚えています。まあ、それほど­ショックでした。御存命ならば現在は八段として後進の指導に当た­られたことでしょう。謹んで御冥福をお祈り致します。

同い年の川添君が優勝したときのＴＶ中継は観ておりました

中国で修学旅行の列車事故で亡くなったとのニュースにはびっくり­しました

ただただ合掌しご冥福をお祈りするのみです

素晴らしい脚さばきでした。いまは亡き懐かしい恩師の勇姿を拝見­でき感涙の極みです。生徒たちに背を向けるように道場の片すみで­、一人沈黙の稽古に没頭しておられた哲夫先生のあの大きな背中を­想い出しました。目の前の相手に技量で勝ることだけではなく、そ­れに投影した自分自身と常に闘いつづけておられた・・そんな記憶­がふと蘇りました。

why \\\\\\\\\\\\i dont know anything about Kendo but just wonder why didnt the short guy to the right just stap the left guy in his face wih the sword while the left guy was holding the sword above his head for so long

Because, its not like the guy with teh sword above his head (jodan stance) is just standing there. He can attack too! Lol.

No seriously, the guy with sword above his head can attack as teh guy is trying to stab, if the other guy doesn't do it with the correct timing. It is a very dangerous attack against Jodan players.

Unfortunately he died in his 40s because of the car accident.
