Tim Phillips' version makes me think more of Christmas, because it seems just like an 80's Christmas track, whereas the Neil Hannon one is one you could listen to all year and not notice the difference apart from the Christmassy tinkly bells in the background.

All versions are by Murray Gold. He chose Neil Hannon to rerecord (and expand) it for the soundtrack but this is by far the better version.

@RiseAgainstUnits I read that the song was actually written for Doomsday and got shuffled around, I guess because it's slightly too upbeat for how absolutely depressing Doomsday was. So I think it's Ten remembering Rose.

This version is not downloadable as far as I know but another version is available on the Series Soundtrack. That version isn't as good in my opinion but it is still quite good!
