and plus even if youtube is a direct link on youcam, the loading process is just the same as it would b on youtube actucal site. and i have a updated hp pavillion than u mine is DV6000
THEY ARE PRE LOADED INto the youcam program in the computer, you have to type search into your computer and find youcam, it actually lets you take videos and load them directly to youtube without having to go to the youtube uploade site
i usta have the program until i deleted my youcam program like yesterday by ACCIDENT!! but now that i think about it im a little more relieved its deleted cuz the volume on it SUXZ! its sooooo low when u r recording..see like right now my volume is up ALL the way viewing ur video. i would deff suggest doing ur videos in QICKPLAY cuz the volume and resolution is a little more better.
i had the same problem, i don't know how to turn it on directly but there is a progam in the computer called "youcam" it is set up for youtube and jturns the cam on automatically and records videos for you, i assume if you are using a service such as yahoo to record live that it will detect your cam and turn it on for you
I'm havin trouble using my mic. It doesn't appear under Sounds, then the recording tab there's nothing there. Same laptop dv2000. Any recom?

I have the same computer. I like it a lot, but as far as using the webcam; the microphones suck.
