Nice truck, but let me hit you with this one. How do you feel about rock drag racing that seems to be the new shit on the block and since I drag race for a living I was wondering how do you feel about a scaled modei drag rock crawler I mean it can be done right?

I thought rock crawling is a drag race. Well somewhat. Who ever gets through all the markers the quickest with the least amount of mistakes. But then again a rock crawling drag race would be more like who can get from starting line to the finish first and who cares about mistakes? Or two or more trucks starts at the same time and who ever gets through the finish gate first wins?

@crazy7997 Rock crawling is done slow and you get penalties for backing up or knocking down flags, but I saw rock crawling drag racing on t.v. one day and it was great, but you have to see going up a rock faced mountain at 40-50mph is fast for them. It's a great sport, but a lot of people are still stuck on slow crawling, but to each his own.

i have a losi comp crawler and its a very good truck that has much beter performance then an axial scorpion. there are no problems with this rig it just needs another kind of gear-brushlrss motor and lipo batterys-i use novak 3s goat esc with the novak ballistic 21.5t brushless motor-12t pinion gear and a 7.4v lipo......well ill go in the future with 11.1v lipo for more wheel speed but hey this losi is a monster. get the losi and you can comp with it right from the box.

@rumerboyz well things are changing so rapidly in the market right now. Axial has just released the new XR-10. I havent heard anything bad.. but they are brannnd new.. and look fantastic. But.. you may want to check out the Axial AX10. Thats what most folks seem to start on.. that is the one above - yet the one above is upgraded considerably. Thats your bet bet ;) Stay away from the losi crawler - they seem to be problematic so far. Good luck!

@djmedic2008 i have just bought the new losi micro crawler for my first crawler, and i havent heard anything bad about it, and i love the little thing. there isnt much upgrades for it, but they are comming out with new ones. Thats the one i would suggest is the micro crawler, but im new to it, so i dont know alot about it.

Please check my channel for all your RC questions about rock crawling.... but to answer your question.... ABSOLUTELY .... they act as a scoop, and offer more hook up. For mud, the other way is correct, but for Clawing action... reverse is correct

I notice the tires are set up backwads? does that help any? I assume those r the hpi rock grabbers? I have the same ones if they are but run mine the opposite way. wondering if that helps you any? I dont really have a rock crawling place to test it well around my house.

I think they operate just fine.. they do have multiple ways to set them up for maximum use. I have other videos about this crawler.. check out my axial series..."rear shock links"

also notice my shocks are "upside down". This lowers the center of gravity. Yes.. you will nee some longer bolts, because you will have to add spacers (the shock body is thick) I have mine setup so that the spring PULLS THEM DOWN.. not making the shock "sprung" . This video shows the shock "sprung" but currently, and in the other vid... they are setup for comp

Doubled up on stock foams at that point in time...

3 wraps of tire weights... 7 gm each...

2 on the inside of the tire, .. one on the outside of the rim

believe it or not.. this was actually the RTR! and after all has been said and done.. cost me about $1500.00

RC4WD R2D dig transmisssion... Bender SWX chassis, Big-bore Integy Shocks.. Special lipo battery plate.. HPI grabbers.. Novak Rooster.., the list just goes on man.. never seems to end.. Lol

is that the ARTR i am building one soon, i am using a Novak Goat crawler 18.5 brushless (x2) for it and Spektrum radio w/ 3ch radio and it comes w/2 servos i might put rear steering in it and ya that is my biuld i am planning. so it costs around $700+

yup.. they are wrapped in the front with 2 wraps of 7gm weights.. one wrap in the back.. BUT the RIMS are also drilled on the inside to let the air freely move in and out. On 1/4" drill hole on either side of the rim
