everyone, you cant really compare vaski or skrillex. this is pretty much traditional dubstep; its BPM is set at around 140, its get the drum pattern, and its got wobble. skrillex doesnt make dubstep, atleast in that sense. his songs range eveyhwere, hes got songs at 70, 110, 90, 128, 140. comparing them is like comparing rap to R&B, two similar yet very different music styles.
I don't like Skrillex cause his dubstep isn't as dark as I prefer, his dubstep is more for parties and things like that, while I like the more dark kind with random sounds and heavy bass.

dude my gear is upwards of about 8g's i mean no offense but your wronf about the 1500 to 3kl, but thats only for really serious dubbin, i started a few years ago on a free trial of able6 and just from what i could do off of that i got my equip paid for
@MetalCrest1 You need a lot of money if you really want to get into the Dubstep Genre like Artists like Vaski, Skrillex, Nero, etc... You need Ableton, which is about $800, it helps to have NI Massive, which is I think $400, and you also need to buy equipment like pads, synthesizers, which will run you up to maybe $1,000. So if you have about $1,500 to $3,000, go for it! Other than that, you will have to get free trials and stuff, but don't look into getting far. Hope this helped:)
@Michelleannetellins massive is 200 dollars, and ableton runs for 400. a good deal of producers also dont even use controllers. also you dont need expensive an expensive vst like massive when there are plenty of free ones for dubstep..

Skrillex has come a long way and It's quite sad that such a good artist is being hated on just because he's blowing up. I'm happy for him but I'm not going to stop listening to him and hate on him just because he's successful.

@MetalCrest1 You need a lot of money if you really want to get into the Dubstep Genre like Artists like Vaski, Skrillex, Nero, etc... You need Ableton, which is about $800, it helps to have NI Massive, which is I think $400, and you also need to buy equipment like pads, synthesizers, which will run you up to maybe $1,000. So if you have about $1,500 to $3,000, go for it! Other than that, you will have to get free trials and stuff, but don't look into getting far. Hope this helped:)

@Michelleannetellins massive is 200 dollars, and ableton runs for 400. a good deal of producers also dont even use controllers. also you dont need expensive an expensive vst like massive when there are plenty of free ones for dubstep..
