Hehe, yeah. The English version does sound weird. But when it comes to Kingdom Hearts I, it's the other way around. For KH1 I like the English opening much better. ^_^

the guitar part at 2:52 isn't in the actual japanese version of this song, i guess they had to edit that in o_O
