I honestly love God. I grew up in a church and have heard this song before. I really hope that everyone here'd experience everything you can through God. Ive issued the challenge several times; I will call my parents halfway around the planet with my small device of plastic and a bit of metal, and they can try to use prayer to communicate to someone a distance of, say 1 mile away. Write down what you intend to say, perhaps 10 words chosen at random. Then have the recipients compare what they received vs what was actually sent. Then see what works, prayer or technology. To my knowledge, no one has taken the challenge. I can't imagine why.

I'm not always certain of everything, but Christianity will never be shut out of my life completely. This video takes the positive attitude. It could as well have focused on the hunger among the poor, AIDS, hurricanes, wars, sexual misconducts among priests etc.
We don't want to blame anything negative on God but if you read the Bible you will find quite a few horrible evidences of God killing lots of people (especially the Old Testament).
But no need to blame God because in the end he is equally as imaginary as all of the other 1000s of Gods we humans have created through our history.

You know, It is amazing how your small human mind can't see beyond the vastness of God. How you see a disaster and see only the bad in the situation. Sure, someone may die, but Gods plan is flawless. They are hopefully going to heaven, if they decided to live their life in complete oblivian to a free gift of salvation then they went to Hell. Sometimes disasters come to someone to teach the people around that person something. I am glad that you find comfort in reality. To bad thats all you have.

But your jealous, egotistical, evil creating, sacrifice loving, genocide ordering sky tyrant seems to love human anguish. Funny how 'he' (yes, god has a penis) would build my brain so small as to not accept his existence. Unless of course Nature built my brain...oh wait. Of course I no more 'choose' to not accept god any more than I 'choose' to decide that fire is hot. It simply makes no sense to me. Do I risk hell? If such a place exists, yes. But you risk the same hell, since you obviously don't live like a christian should. Jesus was very specific about not having material wealth and abandoning family. You also risk Muslim Hell, and any other hell that 'might' be correct.

How dare I? Well for one, I have actually read the bible. The very fact you are on a computer, own a keyboard, have electricity etc. demonstrates the exact opposite of what Jesus actually said. Matthew 16:27, one is rewarded by works. Luke 18:22 Is very clear, a rich man must get rid of EVERYTHING. Matthew 19:23-24 reiterates. Take the challenge, get rid of everything, give it to the poor. If you do and your are wrong, what have you lost? If you don't and you are wrong, you've lost everything.

No, he can't. Something that does not exist cannot recite anything. I know you will never give up everything, very very few christians ever will. Somehow they are quite comfortable thinking they are saved whilst sipping their lattes, shopping for shoes and watching youtube while other people starve. But they put $20 in the collection plate, so at least the kids in the church will have a new basketball.

You bible also says animals can talk, a stick can turn into a snake and long hair can give superhuman strength. Why do I argue? Perhaps Im just a touch pissed off by being approached in shopping malls and public squares across half the planet and being told all the ways Im going to hell. Add to that all the fucked up ideas that the church promotes, like superstition and all the good ideas, like science, that it opposes. Im sick of religions getting a free pass.

Why do some people "feel" the presence of god (pick any god you like) and others do not? Its a mental delusion. Christians say god wants a "personal relationship". When I am in my innovative mood, God is absolutely the very last thing on my mind.

Ive issued the challenge several times; I will call my parents halfway around the planet with my small device of plastic and a bit of metal, and they can try to use prayer to communicate to someone a distance of, say 1 mile away. Write down what you intend to say, perhaps 10 words chosen at random. Then have the recipients compare what they received vs what was actually sent. Then see what works, prayer or technology. To my knowledge, no one has taken the challenge. I can't imagine why.

The counter to this is "God won't perform tricks"...no kidding. He also won't prevent natural or man made disasters. Allow humans the same ability as Starfish and be able to regrow a limb, allow our senses to detect CO, CO2 or Rn, Beta or Gamma Radiation, etc. He also won't "show up" and prove his existence either, counter to what the myths about him say. The faithful posit the "free will" arguments which is counter to compassion and such a doctrine is found no where in the bible!

All matter we can observe can through red shifting be traced back to a big bang event that occured approx. 14 billion years ago. The solar formation and planetary formations are well known processes through the force of gravity and can be observed elsewhere in the universe.

Umm,let go of time im not sure if it matters but do focus on the point...why was there a big bang and could something have started/done it? Possibly?.And i would like to quote the first one of that series ..."Sitting In an armchair and making wild guesses tells you nothing" well i would like to say a Theory(Which science is based on) is a wild guess that some people aren't able to prove at the moment.

The Big Bang is a phenomenon that is being researched heavily. At the moment the CERN institude in Europe are preparing the highest energy particle collisions ever with the Large Hadron Collider. These are the experiments that have helped us understand much of particle physics so far.
There is no reason to imagine that some God has a laboratory making Big Bangs out of some magic process.

I've travelled to more than 40 countries with all sorts of religions. You can take Japan. It's not a Christian country but certainly it also have a moral system. In fact modern Japan has better moral than the Christian Philippines.
Moral is about how developed a society is and also the economy plays a role.
And intelligence promotes good moral. Criminals are often less intelligent. And you can even look at animals...dolphins have good moral! Why? Because of high intelligence and sense of love!

A "theory" in Science is a unifying explanation of the facts collected for a particular natural phenomenon. This is one of the biggest misconceptions of science. The Big Bang is a Theory in the same way as Germ Theory of Disease is a theory. As for morals, if no one tells us money has value, how then can it be used as though it has value? Morals, like money, are a social construct; built and supported by an ever changing society. Its the invisible hand of society, not god, that dictate values.

As for the big bang, its difficult to say because we're exploring things that occurred over 13 billion years ago. That said, science has revealed some very compelling findings; That Vacuums are unstable and "virtual particles" or "vacuum fluctuations" wink in and out of existence with seemingly no "first" cause. That our universe is a grand black hole generator. That universes might be born from black holes from other universes. It seems counter intuitive, but its what the evidence reveals.

Hawking, Stenger, Morris, Kaufman and other imminent physicists and of course though years of research and experimentation, Virtual Particles have been discovered. Just because science has not solved every question is no cause to proclaim "(insert god here) did it!". This is what the Muslims do as well. Ignore the facts and rather than try to explore this information and experiment more, the response is to close off all the senses to logic, math and science.

I don't have "faith" in the big bang. I ACCEPT the vast majority of cosmologists and astrophysicists who have confirmed the predictions that the Big Bang model provides. Moral law? what the fuck are you talking about? Chimps adopt orphaned babies, Dolphins rescue and protect each other and even humans, Some birds mate for life and mourn the loss of a mate, Neanderthals held funerals. Human morality is DEVELOPED, like money or architecture, it changes over time.

Emotions to care for other animals but it doesnt feel bad about killing another animal.Maybe sad if one of it own dies but not bad if it had killed. It is one of the big differences which seperates humans from animals.I hope that makes sense.

No, it makes no sense because its untrue. Elephants exhibit regret when they have killed other elephants or even humans, if they were close to the human. As it is, humans have a huge brain, damage it and our emotions and sense of right and wrong can be permanently lost. Therefore whatever we emotions we have, resided entirely within our brains. Sure enough, once the brain is dead, so too is the person. As per naturalism prediction, there is no evidence for a soul either.

No, Santa is a fictional character and so is the god of the bible, but thats where the similarities end. Santa punished according to the crime where as the god character unleashes unlimited punishment for limited crimes, including thought crimes as well as all the other aforementioned atrocities and repugnant qualities. This same god supposedly created, then sent to extinction over 99% of all species that ever lived on earth. So this god also makes LOTS of mistakes. We're lucky he doesn't exist.

Actually the way our world was created is part of the curriculum in certain majors of any university.
E.g. evolution covers such mechanisms and processes as adaptation, genetic drift, gene flow, mutation, natural selection and speciation in biology fields like cladistics, ecological genetics, evolutionary development, human evolution, molecular evolution, hylogenetics and population genetics.
But check the video series below. You don't need to be this ignorant.

You see the difference is that I KNOW I don't believe, you think you do, but you don't. Otherwise you would follow every letter of the bible's rules, Old and New Testament. Jesus himself said not a single bit of the law should pass. When was the last time you wore a garment of mixed fabrics? Ate pork or shellfish? Or did work on the sabbath? Christians say Jesus "atoned" for all this, yet Jesus said he was there to fulfill, not abolish. Matthew 5:18-19 is very clear.

Im saying that virtually no christian ACTUALLY believes the bible, because they toss out the parts they don't like. If you REALLY were a disciple of christ, as he is written, you would not only get rid of your computer, but your phone, TV, Electricity etc. Of course hating and forsaking one's family is stupid and cruel, so its not surprising most christians reject this. Never the less, IF the bible is true than everyone with any needless or unshared comforts is going to hell.

Hmmm, I'm calling bullshit on this one. Your profile says you are 20, So you lost your son at 19, since lymphoblastic leukemia kills mostly 4-5 year olds, it would have been most probable that you would have to be 14, no older than 16 when you had him, which I find extremely dubious. That aside, maybe you hijacked someone else's account or you are just an idiot. But in the off chance that it is true you are still an idiot despite the tragedy.
