Most of you are so shallow (like your whole life is HPA) that you'll lose it all. Social media & internet is so crucial to us now in accomplishing what you & I want. This is why the government has created the internet kill switch by means of SOPA. Fun & entertainment is about to be ripped from you unless you engage this threat like others already have around the world. Many of us are aware of the problem now.

We have a video up about SOPA already and the HPA's website took part in the blackout. We've also been heavily promoting efforts against SOPA/PIPA on all of our Social Media platforms. At the end of the day, (aside from perhaps starting a chapter) I have no what to do to help this wonderful underground movement, but desperately want to. When it's underground, that's when most help is needed right? I've worked on myself by doing what I can environmentally. I saw the U-No-Poo bit on the Splashlife page, and a snowball effect later, I have gone from vegetarian to vegan (health disputes momentarily aside), and am working on going plastic-free, but am anxious to do more.
Hello, I'm another person of 15, super excited, motivated, and long past waiting to make a change, but I still don't know how to help out. I am aware of what is going on. But I have no camera. I have attempted to become a part of the wonderful staff. I have no local chapter but suppose I could further look into that... I also never found out how to send the letter...email? Physical mail? I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask all of this, but the video was appropriate.

The point is to send out a physical letter to the address that is on the letter itself at the top left [: Thank you for wanting to get more involved! I checked out the Staff Application page, and unfortunately, I have neither the internet skills nor the time commitment necessary to qualify for one of the positions. =(
But I have not given up hope! I'll be spending the Summer in Washington DC, so hopefully, after all of my Honors work in college ends in May, I'll be able to volunteer with the DC chapter mid May through August. I hear they're doing a lot of great things! XD
@PerpetualDuckling When you join staff (after the application process) you are places in the department you think you'd be most helpful in (i.e. I'm on the Social Media Department and am in charge of the Twitter twice per week). There are many positions available on staff and you can find out how to join and more in the link I placed in the description of this video [: -julian
