The system is being designed by over 50+ universities. You can go to the internet 2 website and it gives you a basic rundown. They are basically making it impossible for the smaller websites to survive. No longer will you rent web space to use freely, you will have to agree to their terms and they can block whatever sites they want. It's almost like a "police-state" overhaul of the internet.

The system is being designed by over 50+ universities. You can go to the internet 2 website and it gives you a basic rundown. They are basically making it impossible for the smaller websites to survive. No longer will you rent web space to use freely, you will have to agree to their terms and they can block whatever sites they want. It's almost like a "police-state" overhaul of the internet.

But in europe first you had a rate for 2,3 or 5 GB or something and if you where over this you had to pay for every MB you downloaded more.

But if they control all the servers and regulate it, then there will be no where for anyone to 'setup shop' so to speak, and unless they have their own server, for their town. And then the only people who'll get into that internet would be towns folk for that area, and i doubt anyone will create a new youtube, and many millions will just be lost and they'll be forced to log to internet2, just for measly things like checking email. And global comm will end up dead, and small server villages.

This really is complete garbage isp caps have existed for a long time and it is to primarily defer people from using huge amounts of bandwidth downloading and uploading on filesharing programs like bit torrent. The average person that dosnt illegally download gigs and gigs of programs music etc will never reach the sort of caps in place with just normal useage. Yes you pay for the connection under there rules and regulations if you dont like it cancel it, but you wont cos usa is so addict

the security certificate is browser related it has to deal with sites that take money. certain
"certificates" can be found at ebay and such and are kinda like the "visa" authentication banners you can find at the bottom right. you can turn that option off in preferences if youre using firefox. tools>preferences>security is the route to disable little prompt.
