Happened to me too =P But i ended up with undercity in stonetalon. and the elevators were working! They just didn't go anywhere but up and down into the lake

and the bouncing around is because its a mainly client side glitch, ur screens shows a fidd zone but the game sees you falling through floors and poping up a few feet away usualy some times the see u for a second doing what u are but then u fall through the ground again and only ppl in the same glitch as u can see u at all times, gms removed this glich in 3.3.3 and its more difficult to do now

Something like this sorta happened to me right after a new patch the server was lagging so i went to northrend to level after i hearth to stormwind and it just shows everyone falling.....it went on for almost half an hour until they disconnected me.

this happpens becuse the worlds contenents are layers one on top of an other, I have a few time fallen out of Azaroth and ended up in eastern kingdoms, so i would assume that northrend in under the eastern kingdoms from what you see here.

@SRLupine Actually, this is what happens when the server can't agree on your location.

The worlds of azeroth are not layered, deffinatly not. - But when the server is tolate to tell your client that you are now someware else, it will load the ADT's (world tiles) of one, wilst showing the mobs of the other.

This is why this bug mostly occurs right after logging in after a disconnect.

@SRLupine Northrend isn't layered, because if it was you wouldn't be able to fly. But the old world is, which is why they have to change them to allow flying in Cataclysm.

a similar thing happens in SW, simply get under SW and then get on the ledge, then when you see that gated instance (which is impossible to get as of wotlk) and you see a bunch of dancing forms of color, but the ones in SW are more vivid, and bigger too. if you are on Muradin, whisper my new (and nooby) Paladin named Velon!

he's on a private server and someone spawned the objects like tables chairs and signs around under the water.

Note how there are no visible buildings or structures because those sectiosn cannot be spawned in any location and are hardwired into the map itself but decorations like signs and guards can be put anywhere.

Anyways, you have experience a pheonomena* we call Otherworld. Without explaining all the technicalities behind it, I'll say that isn't very common to happen on accident. If known how to replicate, it can be used for many glitches in the game; a substitute for Wallclimbing if you will. Had fun?:)lol

The Maelstrom is the power of the eternity well i think its called what Illidan reserected it because he couldn't do without his arcance magic so he created another one and the Maelstrom broke out sucking half of Kalimdor away from Azeroth this is why he was imprisioned for 10,000 years. and it also cause the 3rd war am not sure but its on the lines of tht
