Well this is the frist I've ever heard of this twilight crap. Seeing I don't watch that crap, I was unaware any of laura's songs were included much less written for. I honestly doubt this. I believe laura writes songs as the mind and body creates them. Even though her new album is very much intertwined in lyrics and titles, I think its just a natural progression... or so id like to believe. Seeing her on dec 1st in minneapolis. This is the artist I've been trying to see for years.. my fav

She is probably my number 1 role model as a teenager. Its amazing to listen to the music she wrote at my young age of 15. It's beautiful what she wrote, and so beyond her years. It stuns me because I am still so lost and unsure of myself.

And the other recording I was referring to is this /watch?v=NkbRhC9bSng&feature=r­elated And Throwabomb is right-- that video is actually this one. The uploader on that other video didn't indicate that it was a live recording, but that it was from the album itself, which is why I was confused as to why that supposed album version sounded the same as this live one. @DafniElissa Somebody told me that one of the first times she played this song live she said that after she wrote it she felt like the lyrics were highly related to a movie, but wouldn't say which one. Someone in the audiece shouted ''twilight!''. She turned red and laughed!

My only problem with this video is that it is literally 100% the same as the recorded version. Whether her performance is as good as the album version or not, there have to be at least slight variations in the guitar/voice. I don't doubt that she is amazing live-- I just doubt the originality of this recording.

I'm not completely sure of myself on this but I have the rather strong belief that this song was not intended for Twilight but for the film An Education. I for some reason have come to believe that a young woman's enthralling coming of age tale set in the 60's is a bit more her style than say vampires and werewolves. But that would be presuming something about Ms. Marling and I'd hate to presume anything about anybody. I guess anything is within the realm of possibility.

When she played this one in Atlanta a few weeks ago, I think I stood there with my mouth hanging open - I fell absolutely in love with this song. Another gem from Laura.

I'm pretty certain the tuning is DGDGBbD. Well I can play it that way and it all looks exactly like Laura does it. Not that difficult ... but very clever ! The other song in the session, 'Don't Ask Me Why' is on the same guitar with one small tuning change ... DGDGBD, and I've managed to pick that up the same way, it's a bit easier to play ... but I couldn't write such perfect songs, copying is easy !
