Secondly I want to say that this is a tragic loss in the sense that this brother was so full of talent and he was just begining to come full circle with his music and his life. I can't believe it. He is like a part of my family. My Mom and Dad listen to him so much and my Dad even looks like him (he can't sing though). My Mom and Dad was getting ready to go see him next week for Wanda Smith and Friends. Gerald you are already missed. My prayers are with your family, friends, and fans.

Anyway, many condolences to the Levert family. I can imagine what his father Eddie must be going through. I just helped some good friends of mine bury their 31-year-old son last month. They were prepared for their own funerals, but not their son's.

This hurts my heart...i remember my mom going crazy for her motown favs when i was a lil girl...i just thought i'd be growin old with musical greats like Luther and Gerald...this sucks.

There was Marvin Gaye, there was Luther Vandross, and now there was Gerald Levert. This man was so talented in his own right. Mostly known to my generation as the tribute man, his sensual, agrressive style captured the hearts of many and he will truly be missed. Thank you for this. I was crying watching this. God give strength to his family because if my heart is breaking for him as just a fan, the loss that his family and close friends must feel is probably immeasurable. Thank goodness for technology today to keep his image and music alive.

Again and again Gerald Levert delivered powerful and passionate expressions of himself. I too thank his family for sharing.
