  • nice video, can u tell me plz what is this song? thx m8

  • i want a job like this right know im working on the oilrigs but over here in laredo tx but i want to leave from here and know what a real job is

  • @TheDavid017

Same here only im from europe!

  • Just done my opito banksman slinger and rigging course away at the end off this month to do my universal bosiet and mist with Petrofac thn hopefully north sea bound been in the army (infantry) for 8 years so hopefully tht stands in good sted for me aswell

  • Life on an oilrig is pretty neat, but it's work. It's amazing to come out there for the first time but after a few rotations the novelty wears off. Still, working on an oilrig is probably one of the better jobs you can get, especially for me (I work as a scaffolder). The job is exciting with complex constructions required for almost every single job and the general life is good too. Onboard we have cinemas, great food and all the videogames you could ask for.

Drills and alarms are fun too :)

  • @StenStyren Hi StenStyren i would like to ask you few things about work on platform if tha't ok with u ... :)

  • The fires are burnoff, gases that have built up, common on all rigs.

And, yes, offshore work now has a lot of rules, after the last disaster they decided to move management offshore as well, think prima donnas.

However, safety awareness has gone up, a lot of things that the idiots would do, and not do, has ended.

As far as the rest of it? think of a bunch of uneducated rednecks stuck on a large platform in the middle of the ocean, other than that it is the same as inland drilling.

  • This video doesn't give much information really

  • i graduated BOSIET course and im seaching for a roustabout job but nothing.i am willing to work anywhere and on any salary just to get a job

  • Offshore life is a crock of shit, I did it for 15 years. Much better being based onshore these days, at least I can get in my 4x4 and fuck off into the desert for an hour or so when I get fed up with dealing with cockheads.

  • I used to work on the pride mexico and pride alaska but got tired of being away from my family all the time. I quit, went back to school and should be graduating soon and have a job offer from Shell to be an operator. Thank God I will be making more money now and will be able to go home every night.

  • i used to work on the ios 800 in the gulf of mexico i miss working out there making so much dam money

  • these things look amazing at night. what is the deal with the fire shooting out of the sides sometimes?

  • These videos are terrible. No one wants to see a slide show of pictures of people working on an oil rig put to music. I want to actually see people talking about what it's like to be on an oil rig, or a video about what goes on, not a bunch of caption-less picture.

  • @HomieG75 word! Most of the pictures was OLD school too. If you have any questions about working on a oilrig, just ask, been working in the Northsea for soon 5 years now. and this video doesn't show a thing about the life on a rig. most of the movie was just pictures of a rig.

  • The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common ppl.

We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating your own electricity.

Look for the LT MAGNET MOTOR in youtube video search. Join the Revolution!!

  • That is BP Holstein at 59 sec. Very nice rig had a gym, great food , good people, and great pay....

  • Wowee! When I was looking for a video about life on an oil rig I didn't know I would find such a comprehensive source of information here! A slide show put to rock music. You sure know how to market your product! Even if you put twice as much effort into your website, I'm sure its a real dump.

  • Oil/Gas rigs do fuck up the earth and peoples lives. But remember BP used to be British. Its now , I think 50 % American owned so they can`t blame us for a spill.Hell we`ve had plenty over UK with several US oil vessels.Get over it and enjoy what tax relief you all get over the oily pond ! Hmmmm.

  • Why do all the Americans offshore wear those daft hard hats with large brim fronts what make them look like dick heads for. Who sung that shite song too !! Retards.

  • @dazbop68 ....just said "shite"? Hahaha. And you're calling others retards? Fucking Brits!

  • Fuck oil rigs!

    Fuckin' up the earth!

  • @nasty93cc lol Do you have a car? I don't, but I do work offshore.

  • @vdbniels

Nope, I don't have a car.. By choice...

Fuck oil rigs & everything to do with them. Besides the people working on them, your just trying to survive & make money, but money is the reason BP fucked up. Getting greedy. Not being safe.
