Joe, this is amazing footage...If I could comment on some Lake Superior locations that were taken (please note I might not be 100% correct here): 1:12 This looks to be the east portal entrance to Mink Tunnel 1:33 The bend just before the tracks straightens out along Red Sucker Cove towards the tunnel of the same name further down the track (eastbound). 1:43 This location looks to be where the original Red Sucker trestle used to be just east of the tunnel of the same name, it is now filled in.
Some other places in the video - 0:45 is probably the west switch of Partridge on Kicking Horse Pass, though it might be the west switch of Cathedral. 1:10 onwards appears to be along the shore of Lake Superior, although I don't know any specific locations.
All the old train movies by Joe Morin were shot from 1946 to 1952. Most of them were 1946 and 1947. He used a Bell and Howell 16mm "Filmo" wind up camera. It runs at 16 frames per second. I transferred it to digital by projecting with the original 1928 vintage projector and recording with Canon SX20.

The meet with 5915 is at Cloister, MP 31.7 Mountain Sub, 3.3 miles east of Golden BC.
