  • @93MickyD1 lol, now you're just being a douche. I am immune to you.

  • @93MickyD1 I can certainly grasp the fact that it's just my opinion. I am however backing up my opinion with logical statements that I hope YOU can grasp on some level. I have yet to see a good argument why MMA is not the greatest individual sport other than "it's just your opinion".

  • @93MickyD1 It is my opinion, but I'm backing it up logically. Since all sports are derived from something, competition, and what is the most basic form of competition? Look at animals. Physical combat. Using your body to injure or kill the other person. Since every sport is derived from that, then why doesn't it make sense that the greatest individual sport would be the one closest to that? You have yet to explain how running can possible incorporate all facets of sport...

  • @93MickyD1 I hate to use someone else's words, but when someone slams down a dunk over an opponent, he is saying "I kicked your ass, take that." Only, he didn't really kick his ass. The intent is derived from physical combat. Australian football fans are no more virulent than MMA fans, have you ever heard a crowd when it's the 5th round of a championship fight and someone gets rocked by a big knee, and is fighting back to retain his consciousness?

I have a very objective view of sports...

  • @93MickyD1 It's not the supposed derivation, it IS the derivation. Since it is the purest form of competition, yes, the sport closest to it is greatest sport. I don't have an oversized ego, I am objective.

  • @93MickyD1 "Tennis and Running are the greatest individual sports."

In a world where hitting a ball over a net or running means you have incorporated every skill a human can offer, sure Tennis or Running could then be the best individual sport. But they're not even close. Everything always comes back to physical combat. And yes, all sports are DERIVED from physical combat. Every...single...one. This makes MMA the greatest individual sport right now as it is the closest you can get to that.

  • the people holding the tape couldnt move two feet for the champion? jeez

  • After running 26 miles, it's impressive she could sprint like that. Wow

  • lol 5:30 pace jogging that's like saying the world record for the men's marathon is jogging at a staggering 4:40 pace! lmao I would like to see you try to jog a 4:40 mile! you probably couldn't even run 400 meters at 4:40 mile pace

  • Runners who finish that fast....had the ability to run much faster in the middle of the race. No one can blaze the last KM of a marathon unless they have alot left. So in a sense the lady finishing 2nd ran a smarter race, as she reached her potential.

  • ez szerint a maraton a +oldás

  • Ouch thats gotta hoit. African runners dont need steroids cuz there just in a league of there own.

  • Its cause they're African; its cause they work their

    asses off like nobody else.

  • ich kack ab!

  • Look at the shit tape guys haha

  • why are those fools standing with a stupid ribbon, like a deer in a floodlight. Get the hell out of the way you ..

  • I was watching this live on Channel 2 in Chicago. I love how she was hiding.

  • im totally 100% naked now hehe Q

  • reason 1 is the stupid sistem where these 2 guys run behind adriana. otherwise she would have seen them. also, that;s's how we romanians are, we can't just finish jobs. the national soccer team is famous for leadind clearly and than being equalized. i have a friend who knows her and i can sy that she is a wonderful girl.tot respectul adriana.

  • thats the most dispicable thing you can do..

  • What you mean competing?

  • ROFLMAO!

  • when they thought someone not from ethiopia was going to win... this women sprints.

  • Pretty good for a smoker!

  • AMAZING

  • Pacat mare pacat ca nu a putut sa termine cursa pe primul loc. Oricum felicitari castigatoarei pentru tenacitate dar si romancei pentru performanta. Ai invins continua, ai pierdut continua !

  • I am glad she avoided the idiotic, meaningless short tape they hold there.

  • Agreed. And what's funny is that the people holding the tape were on the right side of the road, holding it for Adriana. It seems that THEY didn't even see Berhane coming up the left side of the road. You can see the lady try to move over at the last second.

  • @lamrof It's a great tradition for the champion of this ultimate sport to run through the tape at the end.

  • @MiKKA335 "ultimate sport" ??? jogging long distance is not the ultimate sport.

  • @fatsomamacheese There's a good chance you can't sprint for any length of time at the speed of top marathoners. Try that then come back and call it "jogging."

  • @fatsomamacheese From what planet are you on when you call running a 5:30 mile a jog? Even if you could do a 5:30 mile, I bet you couldn't do two of them in a row. Got that? Okay, now 26.

  • @hibbitish I ran a 5:30 mile. I have run two of them in a row. I have never run 26 of them in a row. I guess I have no clue what I'm talking about or the pace that a 5:30 mile is even though I have run one and I know that it is a JOGGING pace. They do not sprint for 26 miles or their heart would explode. Don't be foolish.

Don't get your feelings hurt. I don't consider baseball a sport at all. I just said this isn't the ultimate sport. Make an argument without ad hominem though if you can lol

  • @fatsomamacheese you can't be serious. Jogging is 5:30 mile pace? I think you ran a 5:30 km or you don't quite know the definition of jogging.

  • @thataintjustice I live in America, we don't use kilometers. I know the definition of jogging. Jesus you people are rabidly defensive about marathons. All I said was it's not the ultimate sport. It's the sport of jogging. That's it. Does it take hard work? Sure! Does it take a sound mind and body and years of training to do at a high level? Absolutely! Is it the "Ultimate Sport!"...no...not even close. Fighting is the ultimate sport. Every other sport is a derivation of physical combat.

  • Unfreakingbelievable, the more I see this the more I am stunned. She went wide, to mask her breathing and footsteps. When the Romanian moved in Berhane moved wide. Amazing. Berhane I am so proud. You truly are a true Champion. Hope they gave you all the dollars you deserve for this.

  • Reminds me of Aberra's win in an Olympic Marathon, Sydney? using the Kenyan big body to shield himself from a head wind for miles. The frustrated Kenyan signaled him to lead as the two of them were the only ones left up front. Aberra passed him for good and won. Damn Ethios are good in stalking.

  • My God Berhane reminds me a fast Camel who won't give up running. The white woman was waving, like everything is nice and comfy. That was amazing. She hid herself in far corner and slid in. I never saw anything like this before. Amazing.

  • No you never look back. You use the noises around you. But in this case the men and women were both running at the same time so that threw off her hearing the crowd and Adriana could mask her footsteps but staying on the other side of the road and have the two guys in the way.

But still Berhane needs to give 100% 100% of the time.

  • Some runners just have the ability to pull of a strong finish like that. Paula Radcliffe can't do it, but she would have been long gone and wouldn't have given any other runners the opportunity to overtake her.

  • Ethiopians are blessed with speed. Berhane is a 10K runner for most of her carrier and she won so many championships. They way Ethios usually win is, if you have seen Miruts, Haile, Kenenisa, Aberra, Meseret, they wait and leave you for dust on last round. So Berhane is used to that.

  • that couldn't happen in ING marathon w/ the girls going out first those to men obscurred her view

  • that kinda stunk

  • And then, they fell in love, and it was oh so beautiful.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahaha thats soo funny!

  • Mrs. Adere represents Ethiopia and Ethiopians in general. Against all Odds.

  • you damn! right!

  • Wow! What a finish! One showing heart and one showing complacency. Hate to say it, but she deserved to lose. (Then again I crossed the finish line myself about 3 hours later.)

  • Yeah, Stupid Person. I wasnt in the stands. I was running the marathon. And Its Just amazing at the end. They were canceling it. But i just kept running. And Lucky I FInished!

  • damn I couldnt stop watching this vid

  • wow incredible absolutly incredible

  • I don't understand never looking back. Anyone from amateur to pro knows that you have to know where your competition is. For that she deserved to lose.

  • AMAZING! That is a story about life.

  • amazing

  • Amazing. Incredible. Crazy. Habasha.

  • i agree!

  • Saw it live. Couldn't believe it. If she the Romanian had experience, she would have LOOKED at some point. Hubris as the announcer said.
