When I first moved in, my basement used to like yours. It was so creepy. My house is 175 years old. One time, in winter season, I blew the fuse in one of my room, had to go into my basement to reset it. my first time to go in my basement, so I flipped the switch and theres only one light litted in waaaay back corner of basement. So I was like oh man. I was thinking myself "what I should do? IT too creepy to walk over there" After while, I gave up and be brave to walk over there --
So I started to walk and got into the breaker, flipped the fuse.. I heard creepy noise from my old furnace and then it kicked on. I got scared and ran back to upstair.
It was soo creepy in my life! Now I lived in my house for 12 years and never scared get from my basement anymore. Becasue I get used to. Also I cleaned and organized my basement so it looks more clean and tidy.
I love old house. And I love my old Stone Foundation.
Thanks for the tour. I like your sense of humor......even though you were probably trying not to be funny. Yeah, I'd have to agree that that basement was pretty creepy looking.
the first dark room is just haunted i guess the rusty thing with the opened door had a knife in it the room with the man hole in it I guess the man hole leads to hell?
thats a pretty creepy basement alright. Got a room of my own I don't ever wish to enter again. moved last year into a house built in the 30's and after last Christmas just boxed and threw the decorations into the loft. Well its Christmas again and so I had to go up there and get them. I was hopin I could reach them by standing on a step ladder, but no, I'd thrown them to far and had to climb up. I've never been so terrified in my life! had to get out of there as quickly as possible!!!
I dont know what year the house is, but based on the 'aged' look of the basement, Im thinking relatively old. This being the case, That is probably a coal room you were in....but over time, The coal shute was replaced with a window fixture or something like that. Honestly, I know its not liveable quarters, but it could be 'useable' space! I wish I had a full basement, as it could really be put to use! Thanks for the tour. USe a flashlight next time ;)
Interesting theory you ahve there. The house is incredibly old, there's no doubt about it. Recently, we were kicked out fo the hosue because there were 1-foot mushrooms growing in te basement (not our fault, this si student housing). They're overhaulign the house, and they've cemented over the entire basement, put in new stairs, etc, so that stuff is all gone now. Got lots of comments about using a flashlight, haha. My bad.
The top part of the house looks all polished and the basement is all fucked up!

You know your basement is creepy if you need dual bolt-locks and a chair to keep it shut.
