I would lay down my life if it was my mom, I'd do anything for her she has my absolute loyalty and I have hers. @MistressArte God dose not tolerate sin because he is fully good. Goodness doesn't allow evil. There is nothing that any of us can do to earn our way into heaven. We must recognize that we are damned to hell and that our only hope of ever getting to heaven is through Jesus who already paid for the sins of the world when he died on the cross. That makes whoever tortures people pretty messed up which means your god is pretty messed up. @SamuelDMorgan Also "For whoever keeps the whole law" I don't "keep the law" at all, I'm not buying into it, and I have never sinned in my life I don't keep religious law I keep actual law, you know the ones written and modified as we become more educated. That's why I've never been in jail I have been to prison but that was on a field trip for my criminal justice class ;-) so that's not really going to prison. We got a tour of it, it was pretty interesting and a lot of them had bibles.

@cquilty1 So judgmental. :-) I wore my cap backwards so that the people to whom I was speaking could see my eyes. It is a common practice among street preacher who wear caps. We train folks to let people hear the love in your voice and let them see it in your eyes. Regarding my use of the word "homie," having worked criminal street gangs for the better part of 20 years, I'll give myself a pass on that one and encourage you to get over it. :-)

We must recognize that we are damned to hell and that our only hope of ever getting to heaven is through Jesus who already paid for the sins of the world when he died on the cross. All we have to do is acknowledged his gift and believe in Christ.

That's why I've never been in jail I have been to prison but that was on a field trip for my criminal justice class ;-) so that's not really going to prison. We got a tour of it, it was pretty interesting and a lot of them had bibles.

@MistressArte And nothing unclean will enter into heaven, so u have to be 'clean' and holy to get there. Being good is not good enough, it means that you are not perfect, which means you have something unclean about you.. (hope I didn't lose you).. But God's standards are so high, that no human can ever reach it on his own. That's why Jesus had to become the sacrifice for us. Without the shedding of blood, there can be no forgiveness of sins. @solnushko19 So your god could only forgive people if they beleive in it, and if they accept that it needed to be born on earth and killed to save people from itself? And your god is all powerful? You know you can forgive people without requiring a human sacrifice that might be a bit of a new idea your god couldn't think of at the time. XD Just the notion of it is totally ridiculous.

@MistressArte Would you rather God be just or unjust? Because He is just, justice must be done. If a theif came and murdered your family, and you took him to court, what would you say to the judge who said "I'm not going to charge you. You can go for free, I forgive you because I'm a loving judge"? You'd be furious! It'd be unjust. God's justice MUST be satisfied. On the cross, His justice was satisfied by pouring out His wrath on Christ. Because of that, He can forgive. Justice and mercy met :)

If a god is all good & loving then it'd forgive no matter what. It'd act like the Amish did when they had the school shooting they forgave & prayed for the killer. That's the dishonesty you have you want vengeance but take no personal responsibility for it saying it's a god that wants it which proves it's imaginary & you're projecting

@MistressArte No, it's the state's vengeance. If someone breaks the law (eg, murder), then it's upto the court to deliver justice. But that's irrelevant, the point of the analogy was to show how unust it would be to just let someone go free without any punishment being served. "Your calling it a gods just to blame it on something else?" sorry, I didn't quite understand that bit :(

@MistressArte God is good, and He is love. But I think that's where the misunderstanding lies; He is those things, but not only those things. He is also holy, wrathful and just. It would be unjust for a judge not to sentence a punishment when one was deserved. God is a judge, and He must provide a punishment. That punishment will either be on His Son for the saved, and in hell for the condemned. How does it prove it's imaginary and I'm projecting? :S

@bloodisbleach If someone is "God is good, and He is love." you can't be "wrathful" or give "punishment" even "when one was deserved" because if you absolutely good then doing those things makes you NOT good. Like I said before look up the shooting at the Amish schools see how they reacted to it. If a deity doesn't simply just forgive without the need for a blood sacrifice then that makes that god no matter how good you think it is really messed up and NOT GOOD. What logic are you not getting?

@MistressArte How do those things make Him not good? God is good and we are not good, and because we're not good, we deserve punishment. Because God is good, He is just, and a punishment must be served. If He didn't, He wouldn't be just, and someone who's unjust is not good. Tell me, how could God be just if He simply forgave people and no punishment was given? How is justice done?
