Huh, didn't expect you to put a short review of this on YT, but anyway, nice review. When you mentioned mixing English with Japanese, it reminded me of Blood: The Last Vampire, when the creators utilized both languages to offer a rather interesting, diverse experience. I plan on reviewing this in the future, but I'll probably go all-out (as usual). Nothing more to say but yeah, great job! :)
@TheLavaBuster Well, I would have liked to use some Tekken footage but I bought the blu-ray version. Well, I'll be looking forward to your Tekken review once it comes out.
Watched it. It is more like a movie for fans. I kinda like it, but still felt missing and characters didn't match at all. I played the games, but the movie felt like a cobbled bunch of Tekken's cinematic cutscenes from the game. I'd give it a 3/5 as well, only because it is pretty badass movie, but just not into Tekken that much. At least now I know what to get my nephew for christmas.
i once said you couldn't do worse than resi evil degeneration.......capcom proved me wrong, still i probably will see this at one point....god help me.
@farrar101 You do have a good point. Devil Jin was in full form in this film but in the sequel, being Tekken 6, he wasn't. And I do agree with you that Shin was pointless.
I watched this movie in theaters and saw an interview of Dai Sato. It's disappointing that the writer of Cowboy Bebop tried to take liberty into the Tekken series. All of his ideas on the movie only sounded good on paper. Having a conflicted character being killed off at the end means shit if all I saw in Shin was a Sasuke ripoff. Lars alone should've been the main character. Still, I AM impressed with Xiaoyu being a spunkier girl in this movie. She became a complete joke after Tekken 4.
@whoisyouranime He's actually the "screenplay writer" of Bebop. I guess there's a strict difference between screenplay writer and just "the writer," who's actually Keiko Nobumoto.
Still, anyone who's worked Cowboy Bebop should know better.
Nice to see a review here on YouTube. I'll give the movie a benefit of a doubt, I just asked for "Tekken Hybrid" for Christmas this year (that and "Ico and Shadow of the Colossus" HD Collection). Anyway a 3 out of 5 is good rating for such an over the top film, looking forward to Anime vs Whatever on "Highlander". Good Review Hardy.
@whoisyouranime I've heard of the downloading, I bet "Ico and Shadow of the Colossus" will be better. I mean two epic medieval game remastered for the PS3, what more could I have asked for.
I remember playing Teken allot as a kid but the only character I seem to remember is King, that dude with the tiger head, he was my favorite character.
@IloveOtherPplsMsry Actually, I meant to say bishounen fangirl, but when I look back at Xiaoyu's ending in Tekken 6, Jin might as well have been Edward Cullen.
Yeah man!! We haven't see you in such a long time!! Keep up the great reviews!

@whoisyouranime Ah, gotcha. Anyway, thanks so much for the reply. I bought Tekken Hybrid a few weeks back, so I have to get around to watching it.

Thats a good question about why no mix of different languages cause in the games they
do mix the languages and it works so put it in the movie.
