Absolutely beautiful match! Tommy Rogers was one of the best heros in all of wrestling. The undersized, but muscle bound kid looked ready to take a beating as well as give one any time. Slater was a pro as well. The execution in this match was great. Wonderful Russian Leg Sweep. Nice mauling tactics by Slater. Thanks for posting. Anymore Tommy Rogers would be greatly appreciated.
Awesome post, these were the glory days of wrestling. Great heel in Dick Slater, one of the best babyfaces ever in Tommy Rogers, and great storytelling in the ring. Love how even though Rogers was a big star he sold the sleeperhold finish as a complete knockout and sold the postmatch wake up too.
