The movie had its problems, but this song's scene was truly one of a kind. There had never been anything like it and there hasn't been anything like it since then. It was the perfect storm of amazing music, animation, and emotion.

The only other musical scenes in anime that I can think of that come close to achieving what DYRL did are Komm Susser Tod in End of Evangelion and Green Bird in Cowboy Bebop.

If you like or love anime like me, I recommend you to watch it, the series are hard to find, but the movie sums all the episodes in one, and it's easier to find! A great anime from my generation 80's ~90's, I give it 10/10
