NAFTA has been proven to be a major cause of rural farmers leaving the ag way of life to go to the Mexican Border, either to work in Twin Plants for $3.00 a day, or cross the border illegally to work in the United States.
It mainly benefited the rich multinationals, the poor got poorer.
Because of NAFTA, illegal immigration in up 400% since l993.
Actually, the stream, the large stream of people here are going down not up. The ag labor in MX went down due to EFFECIENTIES. After 2010 the US will be begging for labor.
