The front brake is typical sixties/seventies in that it does lose effectiveness once it's wet. The technique is to occasionally 'drag' the brake lever to dry out the disk, if you know you're likely to need it.
I also have this same bike although i havent ridden it yet, i just baught a 73 trident thats also had the engine rebuilt and is mostly origional exept the handle bars are the british spec bars instead of the american bars which are a bit higher up. so were you saying that the front brake disks have to be dried with a towel or something before riding if their wet? seems riding in a little rain could be a bit tedias if so lol. great video!
