I have 11 cats down from 36 (almost all of them born in my home) before my neighbors decided to start killing them- i no longer let them out because they are more like family than pets. That said; Batheing is a learned behavior from their parents. Its doubtful this stray knew its parents that long. I dont wanna sound like the Feline Whisperer- but i know what im talking about. one of my friends has this cat named Tomgang (means "idle" in danish) who absolutely love good long showers, so I guess not all cats hates baths! ;)

Or, if it falls down a tree 8 out of 9 times it will land on it's feet. So, if it's hurt 8 times it might survive, but probably not with being hit by a car. A car? About a ton. A cat? about 1-10 lbs. Chances are once it gets hit it's gone.

Cleaning cats is necessary to a healthy/clean coat. It's best to start giving them baths at a young age, since kittens and cats can't clean themselves fully. Therefore dirt and other molecules of things will be trapped in the coat and it can be harmful to a cat's health. That is why people give their kitties/cats baths. Despite them not liking it, it's better to start them off at a young age (without drawing them in a bath tub or something until they are too big to be in a sink). They'll adjust.

Dirt and other molecules lie UNDER their coat and on their skin, bathing them at least once a month gets all the grime they cannot clean for themselves off. I used to bathe my cat every once in a while when she was grown up too. Her skin would get a bit flaky and a moisurizing cat shampoo really helped. Not to mention it also helped with shedding. Personally I think it's good to have a cat used to being bathed so that if you have to it's not dangerous lol.

No biggy people. Usually you shouldn´t bath cats, but in the description you can read this kitten was a stray I´m sure the new owners wanted to free it from fleas and dirt. Later this isn´t neccessary anymore. Many people here on youtube post videos bathing their cats and I have no idea why they feel like doin´ this, but in this case it clearly makes sense.

actually i am a vets assistant and i know that cats aren't supposed to get bathed..... they really do clean themselfs and it may harm their skin to get washed with human shampoo..... if a cat though likes water so much, that it wants to jump in it, no worry, that is fine and cute to watch..... (some races are known to love water).......and if the cat is filthy, yeah, go ahead and wash it.... that is a matter of hygene! just wanted to inform... cute video though ;)

Animal professionals recommend giving cats bathes from an early age using pet shampoo, that way they get used to it. It's healthy for their skin, and for their smell, and for their shedding. There is absolutely no issue with washing pets unless you're using human shampoo, which can cause skin irritation.

sorry had to and btw if a kitten is too young and has no mother(like my precious George) Humans have to clean the kitten so there is a lower risk for it to get sick. BUT I agree if your going to wash a kittens face, use a damp cloth.
