  • Do all Kaywoodie pipes have a stinger? I just bought a relief grain.

  • @68rch I don't think every one does, however, the metal stinger was kind of what kaywoodie was famous for, so a lot of them had it originally. many times you'll see estate pipes that don't have them any more, but they probably used to at one point. I personally think they're nothing but a nuisance. the relief grain is just a sandblast finish, no?

  • @kokopiper Yes it is sandblasted and very nice to boot! After spending a couple of days with this pipe, I love it. The stinger isn't no where as bad as I thought it would be. I was all set to remove it, but decided to keep it intact. It worked out well for me.
