  • What is this strange very fast moving object at 1:21-1:26 This video is speedup about 2x But anyway brutal storm!

  • @pippenn92 That's a fast moving car on the paved road labeled on maps as "County Road 19" or "Q Road". The video is played at normal speed.

  • My god that's one big mother of a storm. Loved your video, fantastic!

  • 29-43 seconds you can see a white thing in the field. then at 43 seconds it dissappears!!!! WATCH CLOSELY!!! tell me what you thinkk

  • @xxxashleynicole15xxx yeah i saw it too! O_O what the hell is that???

  • What's that noise in the background, it sounds like a really huge owl? Is that the wind?

  • @GwendolynRaine That's the wind whistling through the overhead electric lines.

  • @GwendolynRaine tornado sirens probably

  • ohhhhhhhh-klahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plain..

    but seriously.. cool video

  • wow it looks like the end of the world. amazing video

  • "thats so wierd"

    "what?"

"the wind is blowing toward the storm instead of away from it"

  • those r some 50's-60 mph winds! and the lightning is fantastic also i get winds like that where i live too!

  • @crazypenny94 I know how you feel, buddy. I was scared of them but I ain't now. I know how you feel.

  • im so scared of severe thunder storms

  • I don't get the idea of inflow and outflow. I'm trying to do a presentation (for school) on how thunderstorms form but I get stuck at this particular bit every time.

    Please help me!!!

    Cheers,

    Faab from the netherlands.

  • @Faabfabulous Google "how thunderstorms form" and you should find plenty of resources to help you. Also "thunderstorm inflow" and "thunderstorm outflow" will get you some good links. Good luck on your project!

  • @randy946 Oh thanks mate!!

  • @Faabfabulous A thunderstorms inflow is Usualy its source of fuel , low level warm inflow is what you want to see speeding into the storm. A thunderstorms outflow would be upper air in the atmosphere being pulled down and spread accros the surface..... Inflow should be flowing into the storms updraft base and the outflow should be on the forwardflank of the storm causing the shelf cloud appearence. This is a quick summary and really there and many different ways inflow and outflow can take place

  • Oh my gosh, and this wasn't edited at all? This is so crazy. I get scared with just an ordinary thunderstorm. Were you scared?

  • @PeaceLoveDance16 Search my other videos and you'll find an unedited video of this storm chase. I was not in its path of this particular storm so not afraid of it but others that formed around me a little later made my exit from this remote area quite interesting.

  • 0:20

  • weather like this is terryfing but also fascinating...

  • looks like the sea until you look more clossly xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • I'm not suprised it produced a tornado.

  • sooo coooll

  • that is a tornado right in front of u!

  • I don't understand why people would live in an area known for bad tornadoes. i would be scared every time I saw clouds like these forming.

  • holy shit, thats amazing

  • Amazing. The wheat moving like that just makes me wanna dive in it LOL. I love how the wind blowing through the power lines makes the sound and that light in the horizon goes out because of the power outage. It added more creepiness to it! 5/5. Great vid.

  • Look at that monster Feed!

  • The camera doesn't pick up the real color of the clouds. The cameras have a low light enhancer when recording.. Those clouds were pitch black!

  • @NathanTozer98 Correct. I once played this video for friends and intentionally turned the contrast and brightness down so they could get a better idea how this really looked. It was much more ominous in person.

  • So beautiful. Isn't it? It would be pleasing if everyday where like this. This is just from my perspective.

  • crop move is fantastic..

  • Whoa the way the wheat is being blown towards it really makes it seem like a tornado could spawn.

  • 恐ろしい。

  • Wow

  • The wind going through the power lines added to the creepyness O_O.

  • sucks were i live i dont have crazy storm like that

  • your going to have to be prepared. you guys in the midwest are in for a crazy ride for the summers to come. Stay safe man, its only going to get worse.

  • Did you ever notice the light turns back on towards the end when the camera is turned back around. Thunderstorms are great, keep filming.

  • Beautiful weather!!!

I should have some small stuff on my channel sometime soon ^-^

  • i love the way the grass looks it looks so soft

  • I'd love to see this type of weather in a video game, most developers tend to neglect weather.

I want to see a hardcore super cell form in a first person shooter and alter the gameplay due to weather elements.

And alt of game devs can learn from videos like this on animating blowing grass in heavy winds like this.

  • oops i mean *A lot not alt

  • @DarkShadowRage2 Thats a great idea lol

  • At the begining of the vid. You could hear a hi pitched hum. Is that a siren or the wind making that noise?

  • Oh my this post is amazing, I've watched it several times and it mesmorises me, the wheat field looks like an ocean on fire! Saving it to my playlist, thanks for sharing your good work 'randy946' x

  • Wow, it's like the hold earth is moving

  • I just love how the wind rustles through those grassy field. Almost looks like an ocean.

  • were those warning sirens in the background??

  • @aWiibitcrazy, No sirens. That's the wind whistling through electric lines.

  • holy hell!

  • Amazing!!!

beautiful lightnings and the clouds.. wow

    but there wasn't any tornados??

  • I just noticed something. At about 0:21, look at that LIGHTNING!!! I wonder how loud that was......Eep! O_O

  • its not that offten but we get one to 4 of these during the summer time in texas and it does scare the shit out of me when you get hit by huge gust that sund like trains

  • Man if I saw this, I would be in the hospital on account of fainting! The clouds are so dark, and the howling noise in the background adds to the eerieness! (shudder)

  • beware.

  • Crazy storm

  • Wow! Very beautiful storm. I wish i wouldve been there.

  • I love the Cumulus stage of a T-Storm, where all the updrafts take place.

  • Great, 5/5. I remember that day ( live in tx panhandle 40-50 miles away. That turned into a massive wedge, if I remember right. Tx pnhmdle had set a record, with twenty six separate tornados that evening. A high risk day, btw.

  • lol ill get anybody a million dollars if this thing

    didn't spawn a tornado

  • what time of day/night did you film this? It's amazing! The wheat really does say a lot about the winds.

  • I'd have to go back and look at the time stamp on the original tape to be sure. As I recall it was after sunset and at or shortly after 8:00 PM.

  • That was too awsome dude. 5 stars.

  • 0:21

    wow that was bright!!!

  • we had a supercell thunderstorm here next summer i will try to get one on tape

  • I love a good storm, especially one's with thunder and lightning, but after seeing this... I have my limits.

  • Awesome storm!! 5 *****

  • I've seen this happen too. The wind makes it look like waves of the ocean in those wheatfields.

  • great job capturing this on vid, it's really awesome!

  • did it hail and how hot was it before this storm

  • The cloud to his right is known as an Inflow Tail, it's the part of a cloud that is being pulled in by the supercell as it begins to rotate.

  • A thunderstorm could be so beautiful at the same time it could be so destrutive...

  • Same here, I was a t work then and it knocked out the power for 5 seconds, boy did that ever scared the shit out of me.

  • innit the thunderstorms in this country are shit except for the one on friday 24th july lol the thunder was well loud!

  • is that a tornado at 1:28?

  • No, that's the leading edge of the storm. From that angle though it does resemble a wall cloud.

  • theres a thunderstorm at my house right now lol

  • Do I hear sirens sounding in the distance?

  • No, that's the wind singing through nearby electric lines.

  • OK thanks. I see that question has already been asked a few times. Sorry!

  • Where you filmed that??

Say me all about this Playce please

  • Detailed information is given in the video's description. It was taken in the Oklahoma panhandle a few miles west of the small town of Adams looking west and northwest. The storm was moving northeast between Guymon, OK and Liberal, KS.

  • was there a tornadoe with it

  • Yes, after it got too dark to shoot video the storm produced a tornado in LIberal, Kansas.

  • amazing... it's incredible

  • stop at 0:21 it looks like you where stunned by a stun-grenade

  • lol well spotted its like its day light 4 a second lol

  • Yes, or more accurately, winds the storm causes when it sucks air into itself which then rises and creates the thunderstorm. In this case the wind was already out of the southeast and I was southeast of the storm so the inflow in this direction was multiplied and was quite strong.

  • did that storm bring storm surge?

  • Beautiful.

  • Wow nice lightning man, good work. A tippical american storm. Which never will been seen in The Netherlands. Is this made in tornado alley or not, I think that it is.

  • I live in the Midwest and I must say, the Midwest gets hit by some of the most severe thunderstorms. Our area is also the birth place of where these storms develop.

  • This is some excellent footage of such powerful inflow winds. Your description is also very detailed. However, I just wanted to know, but do you have an idea as to what the speed of those inflow winds as well as the speed of the updraft?

    Great video and 5/5 stars.

    ~Trav.~

  • I had no means to accurately measure the wind speed but I estimate it was at least a solid steady 45 mph with higher gusts.

  • i wanna run through that field! Looks so and relaxing and I bet It felt so good! NICE!

  • Freeze the picture at 0:21

    Truly amazing!
