Since he did that show at the VA, he has not been back at all. My cousin is at that VA in malibu now thats how i know that. They were cracking jokes. They were both asked what we wanted to have if we could have it. First thing that came to mind. I said I wanted a real steak dinner somewhere.
one thing I have always loved about his playing, He dont use any whammy bars, no foot pedels, nothing but his Les Paul and him. Alot of so called players need the other gimicks to even get close to what does with his hands
I am goin to see Ace in concert 4 the first time he is goin to be in cincinnati at Bogarts I can't wait they might not let him do his smoking guitar because its such a small place
didnt hurt mine at all. Would like to see if you can play better then a guy who has influeneced players like dimebag, EVH, Slash, And countless otheres. If you cant do it yourself, Don' talk crap about someone who can.
Okay. I am a KISS fan from 1977, i'm Dutch. And believe me, KISS wasn't well know in Holland back then. I have all their albums, seen them 4 times in Holland, twice in Germany. Going to see them in Nijmegen. I have all their albums and dvds, and much more. I am a an Ace fan all the way. But i've heard too many times, regular mistakes and he was too many times much to sloppy. Ace isn't as great anymore, he was, but not anymore. He influenced a lot of people, cause he was also in KISS.
Well I have seen them ob every tour since Hotter Than Hell was released back in 74, have met every member at least 2 times, back stage Him and Pete were, rather the two most open and honest of them all, With the exception of EC. He even asked the past guitarist of kiss to join him on stage and let the fans decied whos the best of them. Not a single one of them has taken him up on the offer. All Im saying is if you cant do it your self, dont talk smack about someone who can.
I am living in a free country, as you do. Freedom of speech, freedom of opinion. Freedom of taste. Ace's guitar playing does not do much for me anymore. I'm sorry. I even like Tommy's play even more. Although i don't like him copycatting (is that a word?) Ace. I like to see Tommy do his own thing. Which is impossible with Gene and Paul around. Hearing Tommy do Ace's guitarsolo is awful. Ohter than that, i prefer Tommy in KISS nowadays. He better. In my opinion. However i respect your views.
you are right about the fact No one in KISS can do anything unless Gene And Paul says so. You have to kiss their ass to be in that band. Pete is right its a total control thing with those two. Alot of people dont know this, But EC was about ready to quit KISS to. He was also tired of being held back, Just like everyone else was. I find it funny everyo9ne quits kiss in a few years, But you notice its Supposdely Never Paul And Genes fault?
