Im 14 and im thinking of doing the BC but i was really scared this was gonna happen. I mean if i go to school with a bad hair day with my relaxed hair I have people coming up to me asking whats wrong with your hair? or what happend? i can only imangine the bad negativity ill get if i go to school with my natural hair! Just continue to get your education, and remember to moisterize your natural hair everyday, and use a protein base sulfate free shampoo once a week...(use the kimmay tube method). By the time those girls who are teasing you are in high school, they will have to wear weaves and hair extensions cause their hair would have fallen out!! Take care!

You're a beautiful girl and remind me of myself when I was around that age, I'm 16 now and have been transitioning for a while and majority of my head is natural I'm about to do my BC but it's sad kids so young look at the hair that grows out of their scalps and see something wrong with it. Why is the hair that grows our head something to be looked at as bad. It's slave mentality, blacks had to cover their "offensive" or nappy hair because it was seen as bad....our hair is beautiful!!

I got my first relaxer when i was 12 and i just went natural last year I wish i would of never got a perm. dont let your peers get to you, and yes going natural is a beautiful thing. your hair is so beautiful.
I have nothing wrong with people going natural with their hair but for mine I have to get perms and relaxers. My hair is so long when Ora natural it gets out of control and it's bot pretty. But for people with shorter hair it looks cute

You are soooo much stronger I was in the sixth grade. My family had alot of problems and I just felt so ugly. Despite having very long natural hair, I was willing to sacrafice it for "better" hair. All of t fell out and I have been addicted to perms every since. I say all that to say that people are always going to talk. You're a beautiful girl and remind me of myself when I was around that age, I'm 16 now and have been transitioning for a while and majority of my head is natural I'm about to do my BC but it's sad kids so young look at the hair that grows out of their scalps and see something wrong with it. Why is the hair that grows our head something to be looked at as bad. It's slave mentality, blacks had to cover their "offensive" or nappy hair because it was seen as bad....our hair is beautiful!!

You are soooo much stronger I was in the sixth grade. My family had alot of problems and I just felt so ugly. Despite having very long natural hair, I was willing to sacrafice it for "better" hair. All of t fell out and I have been addicted to perms every since. I say all that to say that people are always going to talk. I felt no prettier with a curl and no prettier with the perm...I now know at 34 yrs old that me and my slamming TWA are beautiful because of God in me not the hair on me. U R 2

You are too cute! I love that you don't care what others have to say (even though it can be irritating and upsetting), you still do YOUR own thing. My daughter is 12 years old and she is transitioning. She has about 7 months of natural hair growth (still with the relaxed ends), and at first, she said kids were asking her the same question "when you gonna get your relaxer?" I don't know what she told them, but in the end--she is doing her thing! It'll pay off in the end! You Go Girl!
