  • Is this the orbiter 2010 version? cus my instruments are a bit different

  • @deathdrummer1019 This was filmed in 2006-p1.

  • Question: When I'm setting up my escape plan (around 3:00), the earth shows up as a white ball and I can't see the green orbital path and so can't finish planning my flight.... I'm good up to there but I can't continue until I fix that....

  • @byhisblood121 Fixed by updating to Trans X 3.13.1.2

  • II know how to get to Mars or any other planet or moon using IMFD. Load the DGIV on earth then enter PRO903SPEC90 or PRO904SPEC90. then once in low orbit use prograde for higer orbit. Then Watch Europe to Callisto tutorial and instead of

    Reference: Jupiter or Callisto

    Target: Callisto

    change it to

Reference: Sun or Mars(any other planet)

    Target: Mars(any other planet

IT WORKS!!!!! I made it to Mars doing that. :)

  • i can barly put a satalite up in a lunar orbit not to mention everytime i try and land the space shuttle i miss by a few feet everytime

  • when I change my view to escape plan (2:54) there is coming a grey circle over my orbit thing. plz help!!!

  • Once in orbit, I don't understand D. Sharpe's tutorials as he mentions only a prograde burn at the planned eject time, without using the manoeuvre mode... Pure prograde isn't right to target other velocity components (outward, change plane), so that's why you use a manoeuvre to target them, am I right ?

Also.. Are there bugs with Heading and Inclination in TransX 3.14 ? I never get a 90° heading, even with time warps and ej.or, nor Incl. below 10 ° even following another heading...

  • why do you have to get your launch heading to 90*?

  • @g3org33r3 You don't necessarily have to, but launching due east is the most fuel efficient because it requires the least amount of DeltaV to reach orbit since you'll inherit more from the Earth's natural rotation closer to a due east launch heading.

  • @g3org33r3 its because the earth rotates west to east. launching along with the rotation of the earth benefits u a thousand kilometers per hour free ride which saves quite a lot of fuel. than launching wherever u want to

  • I finally got it!

Now to turn unlimited fuel off... seriously. I burn 80% of my fuel getting into LEO :(

  • when I advanced my date (fast forwarding) my closest approach went way up... Suggestions?

  • @superstephen4 If you had to advance the date quite a bit, then you'll have to go back through the variables and tweak them till you get your closest approach back down. I'm not sure the exact reason this happens, but it has something to do with the changes in planet positions and your ultimate eject orientation which isn't being calculated that far out.

  • @superstephen4 FWIW, I usually setup a rough plan very quickly to get an estimated eject date. I'll then change the scenario date so it's close to the rough eject date I found, then tweak the variables until the plan is more accurate.

  • It's not much of a tutorial as the guy doing it is going too fast and doesn't really explain the steps so that people know what each setting does.

  • TransX is so God damn confusing o.O

    Multiple buttons for multiple things!

  • @trecool9992 i know rite

  • @trecool9992 I got the hang of it
