@MadMulberry Not quite, MM. I certainly passed the stop line while I had red and she had amber, but I didn't cross into the junction until I had green.
@Aushiker I'm in Ireland, not the UK. I follow the advice of Cyclecraft to get in front of and away from car traffic. Advance stop lines are as rare as hen's teeth here. By passing the stop line, yes, I do break the law to protect my own safety, without inconveniencing other road users.
You broke the red, yet complain about the car driver. Pot and kettle methinks!

@CycleDub And that is not illegal? It is here in Australia. Red means stop here, not edge forward. Different in the UK?
