They started off as Xero in about 1996, it was the lineup they have now except they didn't have Chester, instead the vocalist was Mark Wakefield, then they fired him or something and they hired Chester so they ended up becoming Hybrid Theory in 1998, but they had to change to Linkin Park because of some copyright thing.
