@jackoe123 While I agree the Grammys are stupid, 'best new artist' does not only apply to solo acts, even though the title implies it. I do agree it is dumb though, regardless of their 'guidelines'. Bon Iver's been around for years, but now that they finally have gained a following, they're like, 'Oh, you're mainstream enough for a Grammy now. Here.' The Best New Artist category is confusing people into thinking Justin Vernon IS Bon Iver solely, so I blame them.

I ran out of room from prior post but I wouldn't have traded that night for anything. It was flat out unreal. From where I sat I looked directly at Ray Lamontagne. There was a moment when Ray sat there froze in time across from me while the entire room was buzzing with motion. I took the most amazing picture of him at that moment and captured everything in one beautiful shot. He was the loneliest person in the most exciting room. Maybe Bon would feel the same as Ray. Just not their cup of tea...
