@H4JR1M thats because your video or graphics card doesnt support aero effects, you can upgrade ur graphics card and then u will be able to use aero settings.

hey i did the troubleshooting for aero effects but when i click next it detects the problems and it detected "mirror drives drives don't support aero effects" before this use be normal everything is fine. and whenever i right click on the taskbar then properties and there i see the aeroeffect option but its gray and i can't uncheck/check the box, its just there checked but i cant dont anything to it. plz help

For some reason, my computer sticks to the windows 7 basic theme now matter how hard I try to change it. In my computer, the troubleshooter says "Desktop Window Manager" isn't enabled. I've done TONS of things to try to enable it. I try to enable it manually but nothing comes up. I've done other things, and it still doesn't work. I can't change my themes or anything! It sticks to basic even if I select aero themes (only the background changes). HELP!!!

@stromgradeadjl to enable desktop window manager click the start menu and search for "cmd" right click the program and run as admin. type this "Net Start uxsms"
