  • Dan is the man

  • Great tool - been using mine for years. One recommended addition - put a chunky bath sponge under the jaws. This protects your precious guitar from falling on to the metal rails underneath (when you loosen the jaws before you've got a proper hold of it). Thus speaks the voice of experience!

  • @Zone1242 I've added a large leather pad on mine for the same reason ;~)

  • couldn't suspending the guitar by the neck be bad for the neck? i mean, couldn't it warp?

  • It wouldn't hurt it unless you left it there for a long time.

  • ermmm for a bolt on neck, vicing it from the neck, would that not put weight on the bolts that fasten the neck to the body?

  • im in a jam i have a concert tonight but when i hit a open note all i hear is buzz when i fret it the buzz is less but is still there just a little it sounds like the buzz is coming from the bottom part of the bridge if i hit a note then slightly push my hand on the area of buzz it goes away but as soon as i lift it it is buzzing what can i do to fix this in the next 4 hours before the concert

  • dear mr stewmac.

any chance of you recording some videos of your guitar/mandolin/ukulele kits being played. I'm just interested to hear how they sound before i take the plunge and buy one.

    thanks
