  • Ugh are some idiots down here really arguing about who's better, KISS or Ace or Alice Cooper or Nirvana.....geeeez people, shut up and enjoy the radio interview.

  • yeah and nirvana didnt copy copy boston!

  • Great, Greaty Great great, thats just great. Great. Yaaaah just great. Riiiiiiiiiiggghhhhht.

  • 2 people were stoned and hit the wrong button.

  • 2 people are retarded

  • ace and kiss were one of the biggest influences of all time and have influenced millions of people for over 36 years.

  • Ace is a huge influence to millions of guitarists all over the world Dimebag, Kirk Hammett, Kerry King and so on and so on...

people who you never thought would ever be KISS or Ace Frehley Fans. Ace was the Guitarist that influenced me to pick up a guitar and i have been a KISS fan for over 15 Years and the world would'nt be the same without Ace. I agree he's not the greatest player in the world but without him so many people woud'nt have ever picked up a guitar. And KISS suck without him.

  • Two of the coolest and nicest rockstars on the planet

  • HEY EVERYONE! Share the NEW bands you like to listen to! Since there is crap on the radio, recommend some NEW bands that rock! I suggest bands like ENDEVERAFTER and WALTHAM.

  • It seems it changed when Cobain died. Lots of bands copied him and Nirvana, but in an overproduced kind of way, lots of pedal effects and overdubbed singing that's kinda rangeless. Like movies today, it's all copying of classic stuff instead of making new stories...and songs are stories.

  • That alien bastard still has amazing chops, no question about it. I always thought that Ace was far and away the most talented musician in the original line-up.

  • GUYS, Kiss has said it themselves they wanted to be, from the beginning, a band with four ALICE COOPERS so Alice was a huge influence, image wise! Rock on!

  • About Rock today. Labels wont sign Rock and Roll. My band will never make it. If your a KISS fan and a fan of 70's Rock my band will blow your mind. But we will never get signed. We right "RECORDS" not singles. Our albums have singles. But labels dont want us. We have play shows with some BIG bands. They all say to us "why arnt you guys signed!" Labels dont want to sign us. Were not playing the crap you hear on the radio. Its not fair because the people are only hearing what suits want u too

  • @DoublePlow I looked you guys up and now I think that I've found a band that was made after the 70's that I actually like! Keep on rockin'!

  • @D34d1y1 Hey thanks so much. I had wrote that comment after a very long work day. Im glad you dig what were doin. Thank you

  • @DoublePlow - There are still Record Labels??? LOL! They are only signing acts to sell to little kids, cause kids don't know how to download music yet.

  • @LanceATL Yes that is correct. But record labels are still producing new albums. People still buy music. The whole thing is just screwed up. Eddie Kramer said a 15 year old kid can make a album in his bed room that sounds like a full band. The problem is Record Labels are flooded with more demos then ever before. There is no way to sort threw it all. If they hear something they like, it could be a 13 yo kid in his bedroom. No band at. Programmed musicians and samples

  • I love ACE! I was at a garage sale with my mom when I was 6 years old. I seen a Kiss Alive record for 25 cents. I had no clue what it was, but I was in love with the cover. My mom said it was great and she bought it for me. When I dropped that needle down I felt like I was travling to a differnt place. Ace was a huge inpact on my playing. ROCK AINT DEAD! You just need to know where to look. Check out my band "Double Plow" We play kick ass Rock and Roll.

  • They both have very good points about music. I'm 14 and I don't listen to this rap crap at all.

  • Ace seems to be a super nice guy, very genuine and a gentle soul. I hate to imagine the way Gene and Paul have treated him over the yrs.

  • in the 70s it was good music but hen came the 80s and the music sucked like michael jackson and such shit then then the 90s nirvana came and changed evrything it was shit to and now music sucks so hard i almost cries like justin bieber and lady gaga and Kesha and such shit...

  • @Genesimmonsandgrilz1 - I believe there was a lot of great music in the 80's but there was so much stuff to go through to find it. I managed a music store in the 90's and all this stuff from the 80's would turn up that was awesome but I never heard any of it when it came out!

  • Comparing Kiss and Nirvana is just stupid. It's apples and oranges.

  • Alice & Ace the A's have it!!

  • Two great rock commandos from the '70s. If they ever combine KISS ALIVE and WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE into one album, I will know I have died and gone to Heaven...(or Hell?

  • harveydents I don't like Nirvana. But they at least played for the LOVE of the music, unlike KIiss who was in it purely for money and chicks! Musically Nirvana was miles ahead of Kiss. Cobain was a decent guitarist, not great-but then again neither is Frehley. Novoselic is clearly a better bassist then Simmons and you can't even compare Grohl and Criss. Grohl is a beast on the drums while Criss wrote "Beth!!!"

To sum it up Nirvana was actually a band while Kiss is a publicity stunt!

  • @redrocker1055 - All musicians are in it for the music. Nobody practices that hard, studies theory, hauls around gear to shitty clubs for no money on the hopes that chicks will like them. If KISS was in it for the money and chicks, then Nirvana was in it for the drugs.

  • @LanceATL Um, thats exactly why men do everything. If it weren't for chicks most of us would be perfectly happy living in boxes... But I digress!

I don't know enough about Nirvana to make claims of their drug use. So I can't comment.

Oh boy. "Kiss studied musical theory..." Really? You want go with that? Kiss studied music theory like New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys studied music theory - Enough to fake it!

Once again. Kiss are not musicians. They're a publicity stunt!

  • @redrocker1055 - If you don't know anything about Nirvana and their drug habits then you must be living under a rock. it got more press than their music..... for obvious reasons. And the comment that KISS doesn't know anything about music theory is ridiculous and childish. Please give an example to back up that statement.

  • @LanceATL I was 12 when Cobain died and I never got into Nirvana when I got older. Why should I know anything of their personal lives?

And I think assuming Kiss "studies theory,"without any proof yourself, is ridicules.

But to answer your question Kiss's "music" is all the example I need. People who study music theory do not use the "structure" Kiss uses in their "music."

  • @redrocker1055 - Cobain, the grunge movement, and heroin were synonymous in the 90's. One was never mentioned without the other. I know children half your age who know that. My proof that KISS knows music theory? They are songwriters for over 40 years with a large number of artists citing them as musical influences (including their structure). You might want to pick up a copy of Guitar Player etc. with KISS featured in which they explain their playing, chord and song structure, etc. Try harder.

  • @LanceATL I'm sorry if you feel my knowledge of the personal doings of entertainers who were popular when I was a child isn't up to par.

Please, by all means clue me into their music theory in practice and some of the artist's employing their fundamental based technique. I mean if you know, for a fact, that this info, you so gleefully tout, is in a copy of 'Guitar player' then that would indicate that you've read it personally and therefore would have no problem educating me yourself.

  • @redrocker1055 - Before we start, I have to ask, are you a musician? Do you play an instrument? As for bands influenced by KISS, why don't you just put "KISS cover" into the youtube search engine and see how many show up? "

  • I've played guitars since I was 7.

Why don't you type "Lady Gaga cover?" I trust you see my point.

Why do you continue to deflect my questions with questions of your own? I've answered every question you've asked of me while you've answered only one of mine...

Come on bro. It's late and I'm getting tired so why don't you just beat around the bush and admit that Kiss doesn't know shit about music theory and you were wrong to assume so... That is, after all, the basis for your deflecting.

  • @redrocker1055 - Well first off, check out the January 79 issue of Guitar Player where Ace explains how he like to solo in minor pentatonic scales over major chord progressions. And if KISS knows nothing of music theory, then how could Gene (for example) write a walking bass line for Rock n Roll All Nite? Did he just go, "Holy crap! These bunch of notes just happen to fit with that other stuff! How does that work??!!" And what I actually wrote was that "musicians study theory".

  • @redrocker1055 - AND since you were asking what bands were influenced by KISS, I suggested that you see all the videos of musicians covering KISS tunes, including Nirvana. I also think it's ironic that a guy with a Sammy Hagar moniker is on a youtube page with an Alice Cooper and KISS video stating that being a showman on stage is a bad thing. No disrespect intended. And I wasn't deflecting your question, I just thought it would be easier to answer if you were a musician.

  • @LanceATL Yeah, I'm done with you. You keep proposing new elements for me to search out in a vain attempt to save face. You would think somebody your age would've learned how to debate. Me answering questions and you answering my questions with questions and little scavenger hunts isn't a proper debate style..

A little advise - When you divert attention from questions being asked, and enter new ones, into a debate , people assume you don't know what you're talking about.

    We're Done!

  • @redrocker1055 - Don't worry, you can't save face. I answered your questions. Music theory? Answered. Influences? Answered. Buh-bye! :-)

  • ANOTHER GREAT ACE INTERVIEW

  • If it wasn't for Alice Cooper bands like Kiss wouldn't have made it..Gene Simmons

never gave Alice Cooper any tribute because all Gene Simmons thinks about his his money and his big ego..Ace Frehley was the only reason I followed Kiss.

  • Wait there's a new ace Les Paul coming out? When?

  • Two LEGENDS together!! YEAH!!

  • both r legends!!!!!!! cooper is great , hes an intelligent guy thats 4 sure , gees interviewers cld learn a lot from him , Ace is always honest n respectful , which is so rare

Both r brilliant!!! legends that 4 sure

  • An Ace Frehley record SHOULD sound kinda cliched IMO. Not necessarily a bad thing.

  • LOL, Ace HATED Bob Ezrin.

  • Anomaly is better than Sonic Boom, but Alice's cd Along Came A Spider is better than Anomaly. But, this interview was great. I am from the old school, so I know what they mean about a song needing to be a song, not a filler and so much more on here. The bands nowadays... SUCK!!!

  • Love Ace. But I really think this record is clichéd as hell and too compressed. Bores the shit out of me.

Im not saying its crap. Because records are what they are. Im just saying it bores me to hell, and some of it gave me embarrassment shivers "A little below the angels". I mean give me a break.

But hey. Good luck to him and its good to see him doing his stuff.

  • This is great cuz Alice hs always ran his mouth how kiss copied him as well as other bands so its awesome to hear him have heart and talk real bout music.

  • @wehatemike818I supose he gave them some advice on Make-up early on.

  • Fuggin'.... "ROCK N ROLL !!!!"

  • BTW Ace is great.

  • Wrong. Muisc went wrong when big record companies started hiring asshoes who knew fuck all about music. Assholes who could shift "units" but don't have a clue nor the intuition on what a good act may be. It's the transiemt pop acts that have ruined mainstream music, not Nirvana. Blame the processed and manufactured acts where labels have promoted them on tv, radio, magzines to death on your money and my money. Nirvana exploded against the grain. nobody saw that comming.

  • @bathtubgeorge

But Nirvana was part of the reason.

  • @bathtubgeorge - Actually, the whole industry saw Nirvana coming. A year before their album came out, I was speaking to a label rep who told me about the band and how much money Geffen was going to pump into promoting them, buying them Top 40 airplay, MTV, etc.. Nirvana wasn't an accident. They were a very well calculated business plan. The industry was already looking for the next big thing because the huge acts like Van Halen, Motley Crue and Bon Jovi, were starting to slow down.

  • @bathtubgeorge Thx dude-you said it...

  • dont buy it ,you can have mine

  • harveydents gee I'm sure your dad said the same shit when kiss. alice, zep, beatles, floyd, ect.. took over the air ways from his old shit. this stuff is played on the oldies station now yo your old ears are just like your fathers were when he bitched... alice in chains is far far better than a few of your old rock band list let it go it's all rock n roll

  • @dpacski When was talking to some kids they say it sucks now too They have been listening to the old bands. I think we have to get the "old" rock in kids ears and minds no one now is original anymore. Alice In Chains is far far better than what was going on in the 90's but not the Classics.

  • cool interview. from 7:07 to the end is the best.

  • These 2 crazy demented fuckers jammin together!!! Thats a super group of the 70's! They kick azz man

  • HE ABUM IS GREAT

  • Music sucks now, and the START of bad music was the SIGNING OF NIRVANA, they sucked cobain sucked, it was the start of being cool for not being able to play your instruments,...ME as a guitarist who grew up with kiss, alice, zep, beatles, floyd, etc..was shunned when nirvana came out...music has gone hill ever since the fucking grunge movement

  • @harveydents Yea. I agree. I grew up during the post grunge alternative rock scene in the late 90s and that music sucks. So I decided to dig deep to discover rock music from the 60s and 70s and it totally kicks ass.

  • @harveydents

you rock! Can I give only one thumbs up to the great guitarists?

  • @harveydents

A little bitter there that you were shunned? I guess you couldn't play as well as someone like Jerry Cantrell

  • how did the signing of Nirvana have anything to do with bad music coming out? Have you ever listened to a Nirvana album? I'm gonna guess no... You seem to have no true understanding of what good music really is. You really need to expand your tastes. Yes! The Beatles, Alice, KISS, Zeppelin, and Floyd are awesome and legends. I grew up on this stuff myself. But I also branched out and found good newer music.

  • @harveydents So Nirvana was the start of being cool for not knowing how to play instruments? umm get a clue that was what the whole punk rock era of the late 70's was built on 15 years before Nirvana existed (and while I am not a big Nirvana fan, Dave Grohl is a excellent musician and what he has done with foo fighters is good stuff so saying the guys in Nirvana couldnt play is a little off)

  • @harveydents holy crap!!! thats what i always say!!!

  • @harveydents Right on.

  • @harveydents How about you just eat shit? You're probably like 60 years old...

  • @harveydents Well, be fair. I mean, Nirvana might not be the greatest band, musicaly. But I mean, you mentioned KISS. I Like KISS, a lot. But musicaly, it isnt all that good, very simple music.

by the way, there are still bands who are actually good, skilled and really musical. Parlor Mob, Dewolff, Wolfmother, Raconteurs, Airbag, and a lot more man.

  • @harveydents well said and so true !!!!!!!!!!

  • @harveydents then join a rock n roll band and take over the world. if nirvana could do it, you can too sir

  • @harveydents Amen dude,Nirvana an the damn grunge movement killed rock n' roll in the music and even in the way of living it! have you listened Nirvana's "Do You Love Me?"? it's awful

  • @harveydents

    Got that right.

  • @harveydents

Dude you are right on there, Nirvana messed up a lot of heads. Funny to think that Ramones, Motorhead, Ozzy and Cooper could coexist but "grunge" messed up the balance... anyway I think Anomaly is much more sincere and idiosyncratic thanSonic Boom.

  • @harveydents thats exactly how i feel.

  • @harveydents You're a fucking idiot!!! Nirvana saved Rock N roll from the lifeless, soul-less bullshit called Hair Metal! Music sucks now because teh record industry is promoting fake artists.

  • @RebelThoughts actually your the fucking idiot, nirvana saved rock n roll? thats the biggest joke on the planet, cobain couldnt play a guitar to save his life. there was zero talent in that band. life less bullshit hair metal? hey most of them COULD ACTUALLY PLAY. grunge was so terrible it didnt even last long. and guess what? i see more people agree.

  • @tsmetal No one agrees with you. Hair metal was bland, horrible, souless tripe. It was all commercial garbage. There was zero talent in Nirvana and yet it completely wiped out that commercial bullshit known as hair metal? LOL what does that say about it? Fucking retard. Go wear your make-up and spandex gay shit homo.

  • @RebelThoughts hahahahaha oh wow yeah thats why alot of hair metal bands are still playing today

  • @tsmetal ye george lynch of dokken and warren demartini of ratt could shred cobain back to life and then melt his face again

  • @louiscfc93 Those guys play with no soul. Their guitar playing sucks. You can't feel anything. It's all robotic crap.

  • @RebelThoughts you cant just call a guitarist robotic because he can shred.thats pathetic

  • @RebelThoughts oh and nirvana was a great example of playing with soul?...heres the difference between 80s hair metal and nirvana: TALENT usually great guitar playing, the singers could actually sing. cobain killing himself(which was really pathetic in the first place) was gods way of erasing a huge mistake

  • @RebelThoughts nirvana basically got the rock and metal fans infested with depressed teenage girls who then became slipknot fans and the vicious cycle began

  • @harveydents you are sooooooooo fuckin right!!!

  • @harveydents Fuck you disrespect dude, music is music. Im not saying kiss sucks i grew up listen to the same bands you have but i got more into them during the grunge era. nirvana.pearl jam, alice in chains all the grunge scene was the best. since kurt Cobain died music hasn't really been the same. and srry to disapoint but kut cobain was greta guitar player, it's not the fact that there weren't really any solos like in led zeppelin or kiss, its grunge its a mix of punk and dark lyrics.

  • @glenmatlock94 - The grunge scene was a fad like anything else. The second the industry left it (like 80's rock), it collapsed. All those bands you mentioned, their sales greatly declined with each release. There are a less than a handful of those bands still making music.

  • @LanceATL true and it sucks and we lost pretty much all those bands form that period.

  • @harveydents

Just regurgitate your scales, polish your top-dollar guitar, and practice your rock-and-roller strut in front of the mirror, blues stealer.

  • @harveydents thats the biggest load of crap i have heard I am amazed at your ignorence, obviously very narrow minded and stuck in the 70's...............I am a guitarist and over 40...cheers

  • @harveydents What about Soundgarden and Alice in Chains? And they're just a couple...LOTSA those guys are super appreciative of th big rockstars of th 70's-they just liked th progressive aspect of what punks did-making your OWN mind up on how or what to play...I think 'grunge' bands are about taking a mixture of 70's and 80's and voila, here's th 90's. If shit didn't progress, I'd love to hear what u naysayers what cry about then....

  • Is this a good album?? I didnt buy it yet, i loved Soinc Boom, but wasnt sure about this.

  • buy it....well worth the money..

  • if you're a guitarist....buy the album, it's better than sonic boom. I have both albums and Anomaly is better...no doubt. Probably his best album so far.

  • @hv95 anomaly kills sonic boom. Ace's album is better than Gene & Paul's recent album.

  • @ACEDIAMOND666 I think they are both good. Both have good songs and a few bland filler songs. The only thing Ace's album has over sonic boom is the production. Kiss' album sounds a little flat and 1 demensional. Ace's album has a full, fat, balls out hard rock sound.

  • A match made in Heaven! Cooper and Frehley! There is a God! Thanks for posting this, pirateradioman. Not all of us have NWAC on the radio. Happy New Year to you, pirateradioman.

  • HAHA OMG YOUR SO FUNNY. -_-

  • GREAT interview!!! Thanks Alice for interviewing Ace. I'm so happy to see Ace getting the spot light for a change. About time! It was always Paul & Gene. Ace is the BEST!!!

    Love your show Alice!

  • Thanks for posting. Some of us can't get NWAC and others (like myself) sleep the exact hours that this show is aired. How 'bout "Afternoons With Alice"?

  • talking of song vs looks, how true, todays music sucks, fuck i cant get off, on the new shit, its all about new groups ripping off the people on alice and kiss look, stage show and there songs are a no go

  • I'd love to see a "Frehley's Comet" Reunion with Anton, Tod, and John.

  • Totally! Frehley's Comet was great!

  • Michael Jackson ? What about when Ace frehley dies ? :O Ace Frehley For eveeeeeer!!!! :D

  • Saw Alice Cooper last weekend at Valley center. What a freakin' show! Yer right- never seen Alice do any playing- but he sings and acts, to make up for it!

  • Fucking amazing! Alice Cooper, the king of shock rock and Ace Frehley, one of the greatest guitar players ever together having a conversation. Thanks a million for uploading this!

  • Ace Frehley is AWESOME!!!!! Alice Cooper is AWESOME!!!!! :) Anton Fig is also AWESOME!!!!!

  • ACE'S RECORD ROCK'S!!! GET IT!!!

  • freakin' cool ass interview!!!! Man oh man! I got to see him w/KISS and w/the Comets in a small bar in State College Pa. It was wild standing 10 feet from Ace, watching him jam, play, sing and crack jokes about KISS. What an experience.

Way to go ACE!!!!! Rock on!!!!

  • MAN....alice is a cool ass fuckN CAT

  • the double A assault-ace and alice cooper........now thats rock and rolllllllllllllllllllllllOver your mama's ASSSSSSSSSS

  • They were both instrumental in rock, no doubt about that but, I think Alice only sang in his band. I don't recall him playing any instrument - doesn't matter though - I was around when both came on the the rock scene and have always liked their music.

  • Pud..that is a funny word...give alice his props though it's not like kiss didnt learn something from him...i agree with you...is this show on satelite radio?

  • Ace knows no one who's old school? He hasn't met me then haha! I'm 14 years old and I LOVE bands like Alice Cooper, Ace Frehley, KISS, Sabbath, Metallica, Maiden, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and ALOT more

  • I love Fox on the run. Ace is the fuckin Best. Gotta love Alice too!

  • Alice and Ace!

    I love both!

    They are best!

  • Alice Cooper and Ace Frehley are 2 classy guys.

  • Boy these two are awesome! They hit the nail right on the head when they said today's music is lost. Two rockers who you could learn a lot from and look up to on and off stage. Way to go on your personal recoveries boys and keep on rockin!

  • Why is there so much bickering here? Alice Cooper was amazing and so was KISS. Obviously, Alice was before KISS, but KISS took the stage show to a new level. They both had good songs.

  • kiss stage show is like fire breathing dungeons and dragons Alice Coopers new stage show from theatre of death is like a Horror Movie with music it was awesome.

  • WHY ARE YOU FIGTHING???? really? KISS vs Cooper, BOth are great! BOth are Gods of Metal! Glam and horror show! both are fuckin great! im a hug fan of KISS and Cooper, I cant say who is better than who!but i have to admit that, NOW Along came a spider si fuckin great! and Outer space is Fuckin awsome!and modern day delilahis great too... so... dostn matter who have more hits! the Hits is for lossers! The Oath (kiss), love should never feel like this (AC) thats rock! and they dont hits

  • Listen I wouldn't fight if this guy just stayed the fuck out of it.

  • I made a comment u r the one who couldnt keep ur mouth shut & let me have my opinion

  • The thing is your opinion doesn't matter.

  • Man i wonder if he saw me in my KISS shirt at his concert. He kept starin at me for some reason haha

  • we miss Ace & Peter in KISS

  • Ace - Alice has just left town & still rocks out major league. When you comin to Oz man - we miss you !!!

  • Best Ace Frehley Album to date. I put this one even above the 78 solo CD which is a big statement from me!!! AAAAA+++++++

  • lawdz. this is awesome. Ace and Alice bff :D XD

  • Vincent Furnier and Paul Frehley

  • Ace and Alice are both class acts!!!!

  • Alice had one thing over KISS...Did anybody ever see Gene curl up to a live Boa Constrictor onstage??

  • No but he stabbed his assistant in the chest with a mic stand, had his head chopped off, got hanged, sent to the electric chair, slit his arm open, etc. Alice's shows are 10000000000000000000000000000000x better than any KISS show. In fact 1 Alice show is far better than every KISS show...ever.

  • HAHAHAHA that's hilarious! You think KISS! The biggest sell out band IN THE WORLD has talent! HA! Alice changed music...Kiss? they did nothing. Alice had many hits...Eighteen, Elected, No More Mr. Nice Guy, School's Out, Welcome To My Nightmare, Poison, Feed My Frankenstein, Only Women Bleed, the list goes on and on! Most people know KISS for like 3 songs and that's Rock and Roll All Night (which is so overrated), Strutter, and Detroit Rock City. Seriously you think KISS is better than Alice HA!

  • At least Alice doesn't have fuckin Urinal Cakes like Gene does, and I'm pretty sure having your own "reality Show" qualifies for a "Sellout"

  • Radio shows and REALITY SHOWS on tv are totally different. Dee Snider has his radio show, does that make him more of a sellout than KISS? Nope. KISS is waaaaaayyyy more of a sellout than Alice, or anyone else, for that matter.

  • Alice also does commercials for fun, he doesn't need the money. Gene Simmons is always looking for more cash, no matter what it takes.

  • @LuneyTune72 yup, i love KISS's music (although i prefer Cooper), but Gene Simmons really must be kind of a dick. But he's not the only one. I think John Lennon once walked in on the record of "elected" and said "It's okay, but paul (McCartney) would have sung it better!". What a douche.

  • @LuneyTune72 I'd say Gene makes money for fun, that's just what he enjoys doing.

  • Yeah, they are. And no, i'm saying they are bigger sellouts than anyone else since they'd put their name on tampons and body bags if given the opportunity. Alice knows and understand tha it's fucking ridiculous to put your name on any and everything.

  • Alice does his radio shows for fun not to make money.

  • LMAO!!! so he makes no salary?

  • You have such fucking retarded comments I can't take it anymore. You make up so much fucking bullshit I don't know how many times I have to tell you that you're wrong. The truth is Kiss copied Alice and if anyone even claimed to be influenced by Kiss the credit would really be going to Alice. Without Alice Kiss would never have worn makeup and never have gotten famous.

  • the new york dolls were also a big part of the makeup but mostly alice, if u have the behind the mask book......they even admit when they saw him live they knew they should do that, and the same with the new york dolls.........but alice for some reason also says in that book they didnt even touch on what he did... but thats just him being nice, KISS is one if not my all time favorite band but not because of the make up

  • KISS copied Alice Cooper, huh? Wow, were you there to know this for a fact? Dream on!

  • @thepolishprince1 So does that mean everything in recorded in history, that I haven't personally seen, is a lie??? I wasn't there, but KISS has claimed Alice Cooper to be a huge influence. Judging from their music, Alice nor the Alice Cooper Group had an influence musically but they did with the image. Therefore it wasn't the music that "influenced" them, it was the image. The end.

  • Alice has been touring nonstop...are you fucking stupid? The only reason KISS is even alive or even stayed alive is cus they stole from Alice, sold out by putting their face on everything (toilet paper included), and having an army of retarded people with no taste in what's music. Also most KISS fans like Alice (they respect the man their "gods" idolize/rip off).

  • ya...ok. You just made the dumbest statements in there. First of all FORMED in 1972, Alice was already famous by then (around the world famous). He already had a number one hit and 3 successful albums. Kiss was just being born. Kiss sold out and everyone knows it! Any band to put their face on a band aid or toilet paper is a sell out (yes there is such). Yes Alice has continuously toured nonstop! He took one break his entire life and it was to save his life. Kiss does it for the money = sell out

  • You obviously don't know what I mean by selling out. Kiss used their image to make money and only did music for money! They aren't musicians and every real musician hates them. Most people on this earth know Alice, more or just as much as many know Kiss. Kiss has had way more shitty albums than any band I can think of. 3 shows a year? Get your facts fucking right. I'm Alice's biggest fan I know for a fact Alice is ALWAYS touring.

  • Does Alice put his face on coffins, lava lamps, tampons, band aids, toilet paper, condoms, etc. He at least has his dignity.

  • Alice doesn't do shows for free but his concerts are pretty cheap and he does usually fill the entire arena.
