  • I love this movie. It's kind of a continuation of where the tv series stopped. IMHO, Mijacogeo (The Frodis Caper) was the best episode of the entire series. Things were just getting good when they cancelled the show.

  • "Oh, a cigarette. Whoa! Not one of your standard brands." Great line from MIke Nesmith in this clip. That says it all about the late 60s, doesn't it?

  • I love mikes reaction when he finds the ciggie... Hehe.

  • They were to far ahead of their time, this movie is great for open minded people though I personally love this movie

  • This is a really great movie. The idea from The Writers Bob Rafelson and Jack Nicholson was to expose all the myths behind the Monkees. They Told the boys this would shake things up and get them a new audiance. And they could work things in about being a Monkee that were good and or bad. Of Course the real reason for doing this was so Rafelson could finally get out of his contract with the monkees to Direct jack in 5 easy pieces.

  • This is a brilliant film! Way underrated!!

  • i think this movie originally played for two weekends in two cities cuz they didn't want people to see it

  • Davy's indignation at being a bit of dandruff cracks me up every time.

    "DANdruff!?"

  • Forgotten classic

  • this movie is so underated. it is actullty brilliant! A must see for those with an open mind

  • dandruff dandruff dandruff lol Monkees were great and don't forget the Banana splits

  • I recommend watching this movie! It's one of the most creative and funniest films I've ever seen. I you can look past the dated effects and such, it's a gem of a movie. Thanks for the post!

  • I love this movie! even though it almost ruined the monkees..

  • I don't know enough about this, but how did it almost ruin them? Just cause it's weird?

  • exactly..IIRC the movie was way too weird for the general public..maybe also because the movie had no plot and maybe the average joe thought "why should I continue watching this movie? nothing important is going to happen."...OR!..after watching it half way they stay so see if they'll give an explination on why its weird and after sitting through all of it without an explination may have pissed off some people...but thats just my opinion..^.=.^

  • I disagree with all ya'll. The Monkees were all ready pretty much a dying animal. I believe that, by now, the series were already canceled.

But it was a flop because the people were at the time retards.

Personally it's on of my favorite movies.

  • how did it ruin them?
