Not sure I follow. Yes, Autocar did the ZO6 v GT2, and yes, the GT2 spanked. Now Autocar says overall the GT2 has better 0-60 and mile, while ZR1 has better rolling start performance. But other mags says ZR1 is better all around. Who's biased? What's the truth? I don't know. Which car is better? That question is subjective. I personally don't care which is fastest, I like the GT2. Truth is GT2 is 100 hp down, yet performance is pretty freakin' close. Both are great, no doubt.

What i was saying is that everytime autocar runs vette vs porsche, test results are pretty one sided favoring porsche when every other test shows otherwise. Anyways like you were saying about GT2 being down 100hp, Ton of cars have higher hp output and they're not that far apart. When you get up to that level of performance, only thing limiting the real performance is aerodynamics and tire.
You Brits really need to learn how to shift. Don't worry it wont break Its a super car not a triumph. Keep the pedal to the floor and feather the clutch and slam the gear. The Evolution FQ-400 does 11.9 in the 1/4 mile with only 405 horses. It isnt the fat pig that the GTR is. Shame it has never been run around the Nurburgring.
But both of those cars quickly fall behind true supercars after 60mph. The GTR for example is 25 seconds behind the ZR1 in a 0-186mph test.
Truth be told the GTR would be an absolute beast with the LS9 engine out of the ZR1. The LS9 weighs 100 pounds less than the V6 in the GTR and it produces gobs more horsepower and a much flatter torque curve.
The ZR1 was designed to defeat all his rivals, and its logical to win a GT2, but you will agree to defeat a GT2 3.6LTS boxer 530CV and 680NM, its required 620CV and 823NM Americans in a v8 engine 6.2LTS supercharged. In fact there this happens forever, the GT2 came out first and then have to leave a better one and so on, this is war of sports cars. But I am happy that the ZR1 with more power, it was defeat the powerful porsche GT2 and not the "wonderful" nissan GTR

Ahh.. the GTR is all hype in the world of supercars. Its low end numbers are only impressive because of its launch. After the launch the GT2 will eat it for dinner.
It takes the GTR over 20 seconds longer than the GT2 to hit 186 mph and thats a long time.
As for engine displacement.. thats really not an issue. The GT2 has a OHC engine and the ZR1 has a OHV engine. Although the ZR1 has large displacement the engine is actually very small for its powerlevel.
ZR1 and GT2 both are impressive cars with performance close to drag racing as well as in Nurburgring, but the GTR, where is the performance for his supposed time?
and now the ZR-1, though as I've said before, too bad it has to be supercharged. Now yes its cool OMG Supercharger, but I loved being able to say, you have that HP turbo, well naturaly aspirated this makes this much so ha. ZR1 w/ someone who knows how to drive it well smash on just about anything in the 1/4 get rid of the run flats & even better.

the GT2 is a great car but what a horrible launch on the ZR1. Even so the ZR1 should have had the GT2 by the 1/4 mile marker. Not sure if the driver was shifting the ZR1 at redline.

This vid is nothing more then favoritism. Anyone who doesn't believes this vid is a hoax doesn't know anything about these two cars. 12.06 1/4 in a ZR1 I've never hear anything worse than 11.6. This vid is way too sketchy 4 me in so many ways. This is the 2nd vid they've made where they drove Vette against a Porsche & put up sketchy as* numbers. Not to mention they break camera 5 times during the race. plus they've already raced these two on youtube- ZR1 Drag Race King - Spanks GTR, 599, and GT2

The guy in the ZR1 in the first race drives like a woman -- he doesn't know how ot shift (long ass shifts). While the GT2 is a totally badass car, I think the ZR1 beats it in the first race with a REAL driver. Either way, if anybody wants to give me either of them, I'll take it without complaint. :P

I say biased. In the video with the z06 vs GT2 he intentionally grinded every gear in the corvette while telling the viewer's what a pos it was. So i wont be taking any of their reviews as factually accurate.

Both are great cars, but GT2 is my absolute favorite car. I must say, being a full 100 hp down, the GT2 sure gives the ZR1 a challenge! Also, we know the turbos have lag, but what about the ZR1's supercharger? Does it have lag as well?

I don't know, I watched both angles several times. It appears both cars' tires start moving at the same time. Even so, with a 100 hp advantage the ZR1 should embarrass the GT2, yet it doesn't.

Not sure I follow. Yes, Autocar did the ZO6 v GT2, and yes, the GT2 spanked. Now Autocar says overall the GT2 has better 0-60 and mile, while ZR1 has better rolling start performance. But other mags says ZR1 is better all around. Who's biased? What's the truth? I don't know. Which car is better? That question is subjective. I personally don't care which is fastest, I like the GT2. Truth is GT2 is 100 hp down, yet performance is pretty freakin' close. Both are great, no doubt.

i think you missed my point the first time. What i was saying is that everytime autocar runs vette vs porsche, test results are pretty one sided favoring porsche when every other test shows otherwise. Anyways like you were saying about GT2 being down 100hp, Ton of cars have higher hp output and they're not that far apart. When you get up to that level of performance, only thing limiting the real performance is aerodynamics and tire.

You Brits really need to learn how to shift. Don't worry it wont break Its a super car not a triumph. Keep the pedal to the floor and feather the clutch and slam the gear. I know that the Europeans have a hard time with that but the ZR-1 was built for American idiots that break everything. Oh and that launch was pitiful. Hire a pro drag racer and see a real different outcome.

The Evolution FQ-400 does 11.9 in the 1/4 mile with only 405 horses. It isnt the fat pig that the GTR is. Shame it has never been run around the Nurburgring.
But both of those cars quickly fall behind true supercars after 60mph. The GTR for example is 25 seconds behind the ZR1 in a 0-186mph test.

Truth be told the GTR would be an absolute beast with the LS9 engine out of the ZR1. The LS9 weighs 100 pounds less than the V6 in the GTR and it produces gobs more horsepower and a much flatter torque curve.

The ZR1 was designed to defeat all his rivals, and its logical to win a GT2, but you will agree to defeat a GT2 3.6LTS boxer 530CV and 680NM, its required 620CV and 823NM Americans in a v8 engine 6.2LTS supercharged. In fact there this happens forever, the GT2 came out first and then have to leave a better one and so on, this is war of sports cars. But I am happy that the ZR1 with more power, it was defeat the powerful porsche GT2 and not the "wonderful" nissan GTR

Ahh.. the GTR is all hype in the world of supercars. Its low end numbers are only impressive because of its launch. After the launch the GT2 will eat it for dinner.
It takes the GTR over 20 seconds longer than the GT2 to hit 186 mph and thats a long time.
As for engine displacement.. thats really not an issue. The GT2 has a OHC engine and the ZR1 has a OHV engine. Although the ZR1 has large displacement the engine is actually very small for its powerlevel.

and now the ZR-1, though as I've said before, too bad it has to be supercharged. Now yes its cool OMG Supercharger, but I loved being able to say, you have that HP turbo, well naturaly aspirated this makes this much so ha. Even if the Vette was 7.0 liters with that 505 hp in the Z06. Eh maybe for Chevy's sake the fact that it has a supercharger will provoke sales
