  • MOTARD!!!!!!!!

  • cavolo, a derapare in questo modo si può anche incutere terrore agli avversari

  • no one slid out of corners at all until this California dirt tracker starting riding these road bikes. Some of you may know him as Kenny Roberts, or THE KING

  • Freddie Spencer gets my vote as the best slider of all time. He'd scrub speed by sliding the front wheel into a corner, then transitioning to the rear sliding to steer out of the corner!!

  • It is always nice to watch such a skilled pilot driving like that. However the soundtrack has nothing to do with it and just doesn't fit. Why not the roar of the engine??

  • /watch?v=KPIHfg3KJEY

  • foggarty is so much better at sliding into corners than this guy

  • A little something for your earhole........

  • m deaf now

  • The idea is to lay down a smoke screen so that the guy following can't see and crashes. Neat.

  • i came at 0:40... I'm sorry!

  • that is some slick riding, awesome :^)

  • youtube.com/watch?v=KPIHfg3KJEY

  • man guys crazy ... i respect alll u bikers.. . . just smoke a bowl with me .. and kikk backkk

  • um this guy is nuts

  • Bring Australia's Slide King back to MotoGP FanClub platform.

    WATCH THIS MATE! youtube.com/watch?v=bTBWasrhwv0

  • Thats balls... Im still having a hard time inducing a drift in a video game let alone real life...

  • WMG sucks

  • @hatany76

The music that was on this before ruined the vid.

  • WMG can go root homo's

  • @dekstar69 I'm not sure what 'rooting a homo' is, but if its bad, then yes he should.

  • Interesting opinion usorx180. I guess if he didn't do it he'd be a multiple world champion instead of an outstandingly talented racer who's even drawn the admiration and respect of Valentino Rossi (and beaten him). How many GP's do you win with your "no slide" style.? We all have our own "style" and altering it at the suggestion of others (especially bench racers) is usually counter productive. I wish I was that good too, but I'll admit it rather than pontificate loftily....

  • @TZYamaha08 to be fair to him, he is correct though

  • love it. entertaining=yes, smooth=erm no!

  • sliding is lost of time (few miliseconds) in my opinion

  • Ye but he doesnt try to slide , but when it happens he can control his bike/body/throttle to avoid a high-low side crash with such a smooth way. That's why he is the King Of Slide

  • hahaha FAIL grip!

  • fuck the WMG!

  • We should all be happy the shit music got taken down.

  • Oh, yes! Go Garry. Show em how it's done.

  • that's no sliding, that's poor grip....

  • Comment removed

  • well, I meant for the wobblings at the beginning of the video. Those were just poor grip and he did a great job keeping his bike on the road.

A t the end, he did carried a great powerslide.

  • its not, its sliding trust me. he is sliding out of corners when he is rolling the power on....

  • wow.

  • Close to a highside!

  • yeah! get rid of traction control!

  • No shame, Gary. When it's (tire) gone. It's gone...

  • he has no tires left and he is pushing hard as hell respect bro

  • lol.

  • classic McCoy, reminds me of his 500GP days.

  • FUCK YOU WMG!

  • Awesome. That shit just launches him like a sling shot coming out of those corners. Bad ass.

  • that is fuckin awsome! :D

  • gary mccoy is the king of the moto drift.....this man does anything he wants with the bike

  • Fucking Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's driving at the limit. Wow!

  • Do a LOT of bike laps on SKID PADS of varying radius !

One learns what one can and cannot do.....

Start tight and slow and then build up and out.....

Defunct factory or shopping center parking lots are great!

The same for federally closed down airports from 9-11, at runway cross points.....

If you are around red clay roads / fire lanes, run when it's sun baked and hard....NOT on knobbies, but Pirelli Universals....

Watch "On Any Sunday"...... an Education!

    J.C.

  • fantastico!

  • His tires have "Gone off." That's not intentional, acceleration sliding.

  • Watch the "Faster" dvd. It's got a section about McCoy and his new riding syle of slipping and sliding to the finish. It taught people a lot about tire wear and how tires heat up and it was in fact intentional.

  • Lovin Mr Squiggle

  • one word, skill

  • "Bloody Bridgestones!!!"

  • altas motos!!!!!!!

  • laying darkies is mcCoys style and as being doing way b4 super moto began! He also came from grass track

  • dosnt that just show bad throttle control? dont get me wrong he kept it nice, but thats not sliding realy, sliding is what moto boys do, not half way round the corner becasue you got the throttle jammed open and ona 40* angle and hope that the tyres stick,

all im saying is bad throttle control, and tho it may look cool, it is costing him seconds and obisly a good rider, so why fuck about and risk falling off!

  • he's pushing the bike to the limits.

squeezing as much cornering speed as he can out of the bike; so much he slides sometimes.

when the tire's limit is reached and the rear end swings he doesn't jump off the throttle or suddenly grabs more, he's steady with it in both directions to maintain control of the moto all while keeping his line; that's skilled throttle control. he is very good.

  • sliding isn't bad, it's much more technical than that; in some instances it can be benificial [say we have a long hard-in turn] breaking traction midturn with a gentle degree of slide will aim your nose inward and in a sense move your clipping point further down the turn. imagine from the point your moto starts to crawl into the turn, to the new apex, and where you SHOULD be when you exit; the turn is much straighter than the normal. the straighter the turn the faster you can go

  • I've done it racing go karts, have shaved time and left people behind in dogfights with such cornering tricks. the feel would be way different, but a moto can do this too depending on the rider's skill and understanding. it works on the final turn @ Mullego in MotoGP '08 too (^-^d) hah

  • He Doesn't Have Bad Throttle Control, At Phillip Island Last Year And This Year In The 600s He Was The Only Person Sliding Through Turn 11, And It Obviously Wasn't Costing Him Seconds Because He Was Doin' Alright. He Was A Dirt Track Rider When He Was Younger And He Just Likes To Get Sideways, I Suppose It's Just His Style.

  • OH MY GOD that guy's style was amazing. The more I watch him the more i think about how insanely skilled he was to do stuff like that

  • best bike, best music.

  • Great video og McCoy, just shame about the rubbish music.

  • Never mind slating the music, when this guy is sliding round corners like this, he's only losing time, you can't apply any more throttle in the corner when you're sliding, a la nicky hayden.

  • It worked for him though. And it's no pure science. Think outside the box a little, man

  • This video is top of the top, i will try it in my way home. And the music is like what i eared in my head when i felt in the stomach the mix of 2 parts of chicken soup and 5 glasses of cold milk.

  • Being far from a hardrock fan, I find the choice of music for this video very well, it manages to show the extremeness of the hardcore motor driving McCoy shows. Well done SR1600

  • che belle derapate!!!

certo che sta musica però fa veramente cagare la minchia!!!

  • Oh my shit!!

  • great video

    FANTASTIC slide !!!

    Disturbed Rulez

freddytuber sucks go home listen to your britney discos

  • so fucked up music so i can't even watch to the end

  • shit music!!

  • sort of gay slayer:) xd nice vid but the musixux ass

  • Worst music EVER - WHAT A GARBAGE!

  • ke pilota e ke traversi

  • fuck all you haters disturbed is the shit!

  • Your face should be thrown in garbage sack! Bitch!

  • Thanks for ruining a perfectly good video with that shitty music.

  • Gary McCoy is the best rear wheel slider of all time.

even better than Valentino Rossi !! ever since the 500cc era!!

    agree??

  • I heartily concur with your statement.

  • @darkmensch Rossi just want to be the fastest, doing this is losing time... But I love when the rear wheel slides! hehehe

  • @DjSounDro not quite..in the footage above yes u're losing time. but in some cases, it is faster bcos u are able to open the throttle while leaning and have the confidence while sliding. while other riders gently open the throttle while leaning and slowly taking the turn to avoid sliding. so its advantage for u..

Just watch Faster the movie..Kenny Robert Sr. said that.

  • @darkmensch

You have your own head up your own arse if you believe your own sh!t

slide better than Rossi lol of f-ing lol !

  • @Rob636Ninja my friend..swear as much as u like u ROSSI MANIAC..

thats typical Rossi fans attitude, not to accept somebody else to be better than their 'God' of all time..

u may have not watch Faster movie, cos if u havent done so, u better do..

then u'll see other riders too..

and u better realise that the fact is, the hardest riding rider currently is Stoner..

while Lorenzo and Rossi are happily riding onboard that 'on-rail' M1.

  • @darkmensch lol i shall funny what beer does lol yea Rossi is the GOAT lol, but the current best slider out there is frikken Stoner - and i never liked Stoner but that boy is putting in consistantly fast laps while the rear end is constantly trying to over take him and kill him <-- im starting to like the kid

  • @Rob636Ninja Great! Im no.27-fan too!!

That no.46 guy cant even ride that Desmo like the no.27 used to ride--sliding and wobbling..

Now the no-27 on the Honda, Great Rider+Great Bike=Unbeatable!!

  • @darkmensch even you should agree the duke is not the great bike when stoner won the championship with that said stoner is riding the honda like pedrosa cant, and i believe sliding is natural to stoner and when he got confidence in the front end (unlike last years duke) this boy is my pick for the championship 2011

then next years 1000cc class is Rossi's mwuhahaha :P

  • @darkmensch

used to ride around the streets with Gaz when we were young blokes, if you like that, you should see him light up the old XR 600...

  • @darkmensch he sucked at driving though

  • @qazqaz112 Uh two things... he sucks at Driving? ok... Secondly If Gary McCoy sucks what are you then, Amazing?

  • @darkmensch Yes,I agree that Gazza is probably the best. But I disagree that a comparison with rossi is valid.Rossi is/was no better than anyone else.

  • Gary Mc Coy + Ducati = Tires whipped into submission.

  • MORE FUN TO WATCH!!! man that is the truth. and a fucking DUC that is a TQ monster with bottem end and Gary Slid with top end much better on the KAWASAKI's he is the king of drift hands down

  • Shit music

  • stop that stupid song!!!!

  • I didn't know that was even possible... @_@

  • Stop this stupid music,please!

  • Now that's 'pushing it to the limit'!

  • grande ducati!! forever

  • Lose the song

  • i hate it when that happens, feels so... wrong

  • Lots of badasses never won a worlds. what your point? mcCoy is just as badass as the rest of them, only he's more fun to watch!!!!

  • gary slide mccoy

  • crazy video

  • people say that his behind rear is 100 kmh slowlier than his front rear :D

  • how right you are. i bow down to you and your overpowering maturity.

you are obviously very boring, i hope you get very far. your three more years of life than me makes you an intensely cleverer person than me on matters of motorcycling, and i am humbled and ashamed of my ridiculous attempts to try and change your opinion of one of the gods of bike racing.

    see you later, masturbator!!!

  • my man, ive watched bike racing since i was born, i started riding when i was five, my dad used to race classics, i have triumph tattoos covering my back and arm, i have ridden on the road and track for many years. throughout the sports history the riders had to be smooth, as the crossplys were shit, aswell as the tracks being made of less gripy stuff.

i dont disagree with what steve parish said, but coming back ot the original point, i believe you are a twat for saying not cool.i know theory.

  • "Throughout the sports history the riders had to be smooth, as the crossplys were shit"

    (miken16; 2008)

You actually think this is why champions of yesteryear tried to be smooth?

"I have triumph tattoos covering my back and arm"

    (miken16; 2008)

Oh I see, that makes you an authority on bike racing.

Well I think everybody who has read your comments has learnt something; you're an insufferable oaf, who could take his knowledge of all things motorcycle, and place it on the head of a pin.

  • i apologise, its not ryder, its the video on the right of your screen with the tyres as the pictures.

have a look, and then shrivel in comparison to my mighty well-put-forward argument, with amusing insults thrown in!!

  • Obviously you are a new-comer to the world of bike racing. If you look back through the sports history you will notice that all the great champions were silky-smooth riders. Furthermore; it was only last week at Le mans that Steve Parish said; "the fastest riders are always the one's who make it look effortless". That's why McCoy has never won a world championship, and that's why he's always been an 'also-ran'.

  • the answer is yes, and im almost sure im not a disgracefull person.

    1. if he would be 'much' faster without the slides do you not think he would have tried to not slide while racing?hes a professional racer, i think the team would say somehting if he could gain seconds by not riding how he is paid to.

    2. julian ryder explained how the surface of the tyre was hot, but the carcass remained cooler than normal tre stressing, therefore making any tyre wear matters irrelevant.

    eat my scrotum!!!

  • my shit head responce is only in answer to your 'not that cool' comment. its immensely cool, and i think by saying the 'safety of your own home' bollocks youve summed up your ridiculous first comment perfectly.

im glad you enjoy me voicing such strong opinions, i like it too.

  • I would be prepared to say to anyone that Gary McCoy's drifts are not cool, based on the fact he would be much faster, and could conserve his tyres more efficiently if he didn't do it.

Would you be willing to call someone a c*unt on the premise that their opinion, on a totally trivial matter, mildly differed from your own? If the answer is yes, you are a truly disgraceful person.

  • Sliding the rear tire is actually good for the tire. It heats the surface, but keeps the tire from becoming damaged. Don't ask me how, thats just what i have heard from people who know more than me.

  • it's not even sliding. Only last one.

  • garry mc coy is the best sliding raider ever

  • he's driving allways on the edge... great biker... respect him

  • trust the throttle in turns, dirt or ash.

    amazing footage

  • What's The Name Of The Song ?

  • Droppin Plates by Disturbd... off the Down With The Sickness album... its gold

  • Not that cool. He's lucky he didn't high-side that Duke. I bet he finds it a lot harder to slide a V2, than he did with the old 2-stroke 500.

  • jamiefumi, your a cunt. hes not lucky he didnt highside, he does this on every bike he rides. if you can predictably and consistently ride a bike out of corners like this then your not that cool either. obviously i assume you cant, so that makes you less than not that col. as said earlier, makes you a cunt.

  • I love the way people like you voice such strong opinions from the safety of your own home, or where ever it is you think up such intelligent retorts. If you look at the video closely you might notice that McCoy has a huge shake at the end of those drifts. Unless you can slide a bike smoothly you're going to lose time, what's cool about that? Second thoughts don't bother answering that, I'm sure you'll give some shit-head response.

  • holy crap... that is awesome!

  • probably good for pissing off the guy behind -- 'here ya go, breathe some of this...

  • mr slide @ its best

    5 thumbs up

  • peccato ke ormai pochi piloti guidino in questo modo...

  • the king of sliders!!!

  • dammit mccoy is one of my favourite

  • shoulda left normal audio.. nothing like the sound of a high performance motorcycle.

  • yeah

  • Video is better without the song. Boring one-chord guitar and vomiting sounds don't add to motorcycle racing.

  • He scares me on the duc

  • he tried it to much that bike doesnt allow him to control slide so good.

  • ruined by a crappy song

  • he's sick.. :d

  • the way he keeps moving around on the bike? Thats him repositioning his huge... well, you get me.

... you don't? Balls people, balls. Giant balls.

  • that is so fuckin funny ... and so fuckin true :)

  • that is so fakin funny... and so fackin true :)

  • he dont move as much as me tho

  • OFG

  • Garry McCoy is a fuckin' animal!

  • I wanna be sick like you Gazza.

  • garry is the driftmaster!!

  • The song is by a band called 'Disturbed', but I don't listen to them enough to know the exact song.

    Nice little drift though :D

  • mcCoy ist the best Slider !!!!!!!!!!

  • unbelivable talent by mccoy

  • l'ultima derapata è incredibile. bel video

  • mccoy likes to slide... and knows how to...

  • what is the name od this song?

  • Disturbed - dropping plates

  • not the fastest way, but the best to watch

  • Incredible
