Just like a golf swing, 80% can be much more rythmically sound.. you never really see Tiger Woods swing as hard as he possibly can, because a slightly "held back" smoother approach is what produces a more consistant result.. in drums and in golf!
agreed!! i think that since he has such a good feel he doesnt need to use his chops that much, and then when you think he can possibly get better he whips out these crazy fast licks....just simply amazing
great clip, thanx for posting!

@11batterista11 I'm not sure if it's a "real" title, but I've seen it called Tribute to Gary Glitter.

i watched him last mounth in a clinic and i was rly impressed how easy is for him to play so many difficult things so fast and with so much precision

He's got all his moves down perfectly... He just doesn't play in big bands! But he is super awesome.

I wonder if Jojo holds back from playing as fast as he can because he doesn't want people to only know he is the fastest?
Timmyinc44 2 years ago 2
I agree and also think he just very musical and makes musically smart choices, he's not just a drummer he's a musician!

i cant think of anyone else who is so sleek.
THEpearldrummer 2 years ago
I think Dave Weckl could be considered, as you said, sleek.
Dave Weckl has a certain fluidity, finesse, if you will, in his playing.
