  • I'm 15 and can anyone tell me what horizons was from someone whos been on it? I really wish i could have seen it but mission space took over..

  • @dancebrittany23 You might be able to find some videos of the attraction here on YouTube. I've never rode it, but the attraction was a look about life in the future: community, education, work, etc. LOL I wish I had gone to EPCOT, er, Epcot back in the 90s to see all those cool Future World attractions :)

  • I wish this went on longer. Much longer.

  • Does ANYONE know the music that played on this ride during the part where either the crystals are growing or the DNA helix is coming at you?

  • My first time to Epcot was back in 2003, so I never got the chance to see oldschool EPCOT. However, I do have a copy of the 1991 version of The Official Album of DL/WDW so it does have this along with Horizons, Makin' Memories, It's Fun to Be Free, One Little Spark and other classic Epcot songs. A friend of mine also made me a DVD with his home videos when he went to EPCOT in the early 1990s :)

  • Instead of getting rid of this attraction, they should've moved it to Tomorrowland, where it---at least, the first part,"Looking Back At Tomorrow"--- would have fit in perfectly with the retro-futuristic theme they have now.

  • I love this music.I have it on a Cd and a cassette tape.I absolutely love it.When I hear music like this it takes me places in my mind that doesn't exist in reality.Although I wish they did.Music can soothe the soul when you listen to it in a relaxing state as this music sounds.Everyone has special places in their own minds that they wished existed, and music like this can take you there anytime.I wish it was longer though. This is same amount that is on my Cd and tape.

  • Recording this music right now... have a Disney 'area music' playlist on my ipod and if they had an order of importance, this would be near the damn top.

  • i wish i could've ride horizons ): i watched a video about the "old" Epcot and i like that ride so much it seems so much fun and everyone says that they miss the ride so much......it's so so sad that they took down it u.u

  • i miss that ride. i remeber riding it in the mid-90s

  • I felt Horizons was the one pavilion that tied all the other Epcot pavilion themes together into a meaningful, hopeful message. It would truly take someone who didn't understand what Epcot was about to decide that this was the one pavilion that had to be torn down. Here is where we take what we learn today and head into the future. Bring Horizons back!

  • Horizons might not be in Epcot but now lives in our hearts. If we take a bit of horizons and sprinkled it over our everyday lives the world surrounding us would become a more successful and better place built on potential passion and the dream that inspire us all.

  • They should just rebuild it, exactly how it was. I don't care if it was becoming outdated in its look at the future; it was inspirational.

  • You are all correct. I have always wished for a future as bright as Horizons painted it, and I believe others did as well. This ride inspired my college and career path, as I hope it did with others. I do believe that this ride inspired people to innovate and look forward, as it did me. Think of all the people who never had a chance to experience this. I wonder if their lives may have been brighter if they did. Think about it.

  • That would be nice, but all of the old pavilion attractions should be rebuilt. They could still do that with the Wonders of Life... But I wouldn't like this ride replace wonders of life, universe of energy, the seas with nemo, spaceship earth, or any other future world pavilion. Maybe it could go in the 2 Innoventions pavilions! :D attach them together, no biggie :)

  • Gone in 1999 and one of the saddest days in Epcot history. This ride captured the vision of the future we love to have, and now I don't see it anywhere.

  • Never gets old. I miss Horizons. Rode it in April of 1984 and again in 1986. It was gone the next time I went to Epcot many, many years later.

  • RIP Horizons

  • Man, do we miss Horizons. Disney and all it's "minions" decided that we no longer need it, A damn shame.
