  • vad är det för intro låt??

  • wow, I didn't know clapton could fingerpick like that. This is an awesome song.

  • @vintageguitarguru You mustn't have listened to much of his music. Have you not heard his fingerpicking in Tears in Heaven, Layla, Wonderful Tonight, etc..?

  • What song is that at the beginning of the show, and before Back home?

  • Eric Clapton, you rock!

One of my all-time favorite artists.

I saw him in San Diego, March 2011, and he is one of the most talented and classy acts ever.

He ranks up there with Jeff Beck and B. B. King as a genuine legend.

    Thank you for the post!

  • amen

  • Why thinking and talking about the past - this is now... c",)

  • Where's the OMG! I FREAKIN LOVE THIS! button?

  • Great song, does anyone have the chords that he uses here? I would greatly appreciate

  • For once i thought you were going to sing something with depth and context eg feelgoods goin back home wrong again sod off and "£$, You predicable $£%^.

  • Perkele miten voi ollakin hieno biisi.

  • I like this so much ... I relate 100% THANK YOU ERIC CLAPTON!!

  • For those who love Eric Clapton's music like I do, give a special thanks to Pete Townsend, who literally pulled Eric Clapton back from the drug hellhole he fell into... So thanks Mr. Townsend for saving a musical treasure and great human being from the drugs and the atmosphere that had surrounded him.

  • BELLISIMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ずっとずっと大好き!(*^v^*)

  • It's the 000-ECHF Bellezza Bianca by Martin&Co.

  • Thanks!

  • Anybody know the specifics of the guitar hes playing?

  • looks like a custom martin.....probably a one of a kind he had specially made

  • @mtmjb44 It's a Martin, and it's called Bellezza Bianca, produced along with Bellezza Nera for EC...

  • Eric is great on so many levels. A musical treasure for sure. A kind and humble man as well. Of course a great guitarist and musician.

  • @MasterJackAub or whatever your fuck name is -

don't write something that you know nothing about, how the fuck you know that he cashes for his son's death?and what's the point if you hate him and spamming here?go listen to your gay jonas songs, it's better off to shut you up

  • Master jack aubrey. Judging by you're ridiculous name, and you're last comment.... i'm sorry if i offend you but you sound like and probably are a top cunt. Go home and do you're homework dickhead. Eric's given alot of money away and alot to charity. You're a fucking pratt.

  • stupid

  • to MasterJackAubrey

I hope you're not as stupis as you seem 'cause maaan that would be really sad!..

  • Elle est trop belle cette chanson..

  • Hey, keep it you yourself Do you have kids? Do your care for anyone, who you have lost? I hate when people think they know everything about someones life, when its not there own! He may have done Drugs, but that's no the point be careful what you say when you don't know what he went through.

  • @MasterJackAubrey If you hate Eric Clapton so much than why in the hell are you here?

Oh and degrading his fans for simply being his fans is ignorant.

I myself have grown up to his music and so have my parents and none of us are drug addicts or homeless.

  • he WAS all that stuff and I still dont agree with womanizer. Whats your point spamming this chat with crap?

  • @MasterJackAubrey hey2...,,,u fucking retard..,,,u maybe don't realise what he been trough..,,,,maybe what u told about him is true but look again..,,,he's clean dumb ass,...and cause of that..,,he created some kind of club called crossroad..,,, to people who been trough like him and let it go trough music..,,,clapton does that.,,please appreciate him and dont judge him based on his history FUCKIN DUMB ASS!!!!

  • And yes! what a guitarist, please watch in live, he's a diamond!

  • We french have Gainsbourg & Brassens, you guys have Clapton & Dylan, you Americans can be proud, all of them are genious. Congrats to you Mister Clapton, I love you so much.

  • he is english!

  • yeah! oh damn, what was going through my head I don't know! sorry. Well Brits are the best at rock anyway, no wonder

  • Clapton's not american he's english

  • Don't forget Edith Piaf - a Frenchwoman that could really sing the blues, in her own way.

  • You said hat to me because I'm french?

  • Yes, because you are French and, whilst personally Piaf isn't my type of singer, her approach is much closer to the Blues idiom of Bessy Smith et al that informed the music of the likes of EC back in the 1960s.

  • I thought that was pretty funny you remind me of Piaf. She's probably the only french female singer worldwildly famous

  • She is for me, apart from Serge Gainsborough & Johnny Hallyday!

Unless you count Mdme Sarkosy as French!

  • ho, what? Hallyday? nobody knew how it was in LA while he was hospitalized. that's why he went there.

Carla Bruni? please take her with you!

  • "That" ;)

  • i'm speechless...

  • I looove this song. Great voice, AMAZING guitarist.

  • A great song and a great guitarist.

  • FUCK ME =D

This guy is good! I like the song, but why the stupid show arround the song ;-(

  • MasterJack (I don't know how you got the master part) can't you ease up and just enjoy. A good friend of mine (an accomplished blues player) once told me, "Either it moves you or it don't, that's it!" If it doesn't move you that's fine, but to spend the energy you do on negative comments might be a reflection of your own failure, think about it.

  • hey fuck you man. We've all done things we're not proud of. Clapton went through a time were he was a heroine addict but hes completely clean and hes been so for a long time, and hes admitted to being ashamed of doing heroine. And his sons death was in no way his fault you douche bag. Go listen to Pilgrim and hear the remorse and sorrow in his music. Your a first class asshole. The very fact that Clapton was a mess and cleaned up his act makes him a hero to me.

  • @Guild176 Well Said ! Claptons A Ledge!

  • if you dont like clapton then fuck off and dont bother with his music the guy make mistakes in his life as we all do but i think he has made up for them and some what have you done you sad fucker

  • Why dont you all just appreciate the music and stop being angry with each other like a bunch of chindren with nothing to do.

  • My name's Fran Raya and I'm a female singer/songwriter from the UK. I was invited to support Eric Clapton on his Scandinavian tour performing my own songs. He's a true musician and artist in the purest sense. After my spot I used to stand at the side of the stage and watch him play. Inspirational to say the least. He has and always will have a musicians soul. I am so proud to have toured with him.

  • master jack's an idiot. i would hate to see what he considers good.

  • the best musician alive and probably in the history i mean:

the best guitar player alive and the next after hendrix, amaizing singer, awsome songwriter a trayectory of pure music and amaizing person what else?

  • wtf shut up fuck fag

  • no doubt he is the best gitarist ever and a lovley voice!

  • Filippoman- Look, let's be honest here. Eric Clapton is good, but he hasn't been GREAT since 1969. His fans don't seem to care WHAT he does, so...he doesn't even really try. Most of his concerts are lack-luster affairs that make him huge profits. Eric's more of a business man now than a musician. Boring pentatonics and standard "guitar lesson" finger-plucking. In the end, Eric is kind of like a fashion pair of jeans. As long as the label is there, nobody seems to care about quality.

  • maybe you're right but you can't say i'm not allowed to like his music...?

And i love albums like "Unplugged" 1992 and "Back Home" 2005.

You may not like it but I do, please let me do it, thanks :)

  • There are some who think that, but most of his fans think he makes great music to this day. I saw him just a few months ago with Steve Winwood, and he STILL plays amazing guitar. Are there guitar players better than him? Yeah, technically. But his music is very expressive, it doesn't need to be flashy. He often speaks about how much his music means to him, how its practically an obsession. Maybe you need to listen with different ears rather than blame him for playing "lack-luster?"

  • Obviously you're entitled to your opinion, but I'm baffled as to why you make 1969 the cutoff point. Are you saying he stopped being great when Blind Faith split? The Layla album is widely considered to be his best achievement, and it was recorded in 1970. If you wanted to distinguish between young Clapton and the solo artist, make 70/71 the cutoff. He took a heroin-induced hiatus for a few years and emerged in 74 as the Clapton you seem to dislike. He's changed in the 35 years since, though.

  • lol, my mistake for thinking I could talk civilly on YouTube.

  • I have no problem with legit criticism. Your first reply to the vid was pretty much that, and I simply offered my opinion in response and asked you to clarify. I did not insult you or your tastes, and I was surprised by your response. You seem unnecessarily hate-filled and vitriolic toward a popular musician. He's... just a musician. Lighten up. Listen to your favorite music and stop thinking about dogs eating their own shit.

  • FUCK U

  • nice song and the best guitarist ever

  • I love it. Eric Clapton is a Legend.

  • Correction, Clapton IS GOD!~

  • Clapton is simply THE BEST !!!

    What a beautiful song.

  • i love him , wow he is amazing and good person ,

  • MAESTRO INDISCUTIBLE

  • Matt Lauer is a dick!

  • Don't worry about it. He doesn't play guitar.

  • word

  • CLAPTON is the very best Gitarrist he is the feeling

  • GOTTA AGREE.........

    CLAPTON IS GOD

    Long live SLOWHAND

    Cheers

  • CLAPTON IS GOD

  • yes

  • It seems there isn't any difficulty by such playing

  • un grosssooooooo

  • he played it more than perfect. .unbelievable what he can put into

  • MAESTROOOO!!

  • CLAPTON IS GOD!!

  • CLAPTON IS GOD

  • He's godly on the guitar.

  • HE MAKES THIS LOOK SO DAMN EASY

  • Its not that hard, actually it looks (or better sounds) a lot harder than it is. Its the the same picking pattern during the whole song.

  • Can you make a video of yourself playing this song? I would sure like to learn. Thanks!

  • played in G finger picked

  • its easy for him cause he worked hard and went through many shit to be what he is right now.

  • This is the best of Erics slow and sad songs, and it sounds better live only on acoustic guitar, CLAPTON IS A GOD!!!!!!!

  • Clapton is GOD ! ! ! !

  • i dont like simon climie and his productions with eric since in 1997..i prefer the "old" clapton of journeyman and fromthecradle & the all albums of the70 80 years, for my, clapton with blackmoore and hendrix..best in all time!!!!

  • this is his guitar?

  • Yes.

  • I have always been so much into Eric Clapton (!)

but I feel that he is kind of 'fishing' for interesting chords here to fit into the 'modern' trend of songwriting.

    I don't mind if I make a hundred enemies here ... I only said what I think.

PS. I'll listen to it a few more times - maybe it will grow on me.

But, so far, none of Eric's stuff needed to grow on me. It usually always made it to me straight.

  • This is a great song. I love Eric Clapton - like George Harrison, he brings a very earnest, plain-spoken sincerity to his songs that connects to me on an emotional level. I think he's very underrated as a songwriter (although I could do without his Phil Collins period stuff).

  • Thanks for posting, now if I can just figure out how he plays it. . .

  • It's just Eric. He does everything so smooth and fluid. The playing really isn't that complex, its just fingerpicked chords. But when he plays it; its just.... WOW. He really can make the simplest song into a masterpiece.

May you play for many long years, Eric. God Bless.

  • I musta played it about 5 times and gave up. I suppose if I put in the hours I'd get it eventually. Thing is he plays this accoustic version mainly on the bass strings while the studio track has about three guitars playing all over the neck.

I really like his accoustic fingerpicking, "Three Little Girls", "Tears in Heaven" are all great.

  • I really prefer this acoustic version.... Pure, simple, and its just Clapton. If John Mayer touches this song, I swear I will SHOOT him. That guy needs to doing covers of Clapton's songs. Crossroads was alright, but only because he played WITH Clapton. His Old Love sucked. The guitar playing wasn't anything special, and his voice.... ugh it was disgusting!

  • i hope john mayer dies...f@#$k hate him

  • I don't like him, but he doesn't need to die....

  • And yet Eric likes John Mayer.

  • And yet Eric likes John Mayers covers of his songs.

  • A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

  • I just bought this album and im blown away excellent cd

  • his timing is dead on damn that is crazy

  • Just awesome!

  • ...the album's called Back Home. ;)

  • This is absolutely beautiful. Sound of his voice, guitar and finger style work on the neck... SUPERB! Thank you Eric Clapton!

    K.M

  • I absolutely agree... Clapton is still the best. I'll see him in August in Gdynia ;}

  • Super...! a ja zobacze Go 27 maja w Toronto, juz mam bilet. K.M.

  • the song says it all

  • He's the best! hopes he play's this one when he comes to bergen in august

  • This is awsome,!, Mr. Clapton should do a recording of just him playin songs Acoustically. Even better to see a video of it.!, [hint, hint]

  • Yes, I agree. We need another Unplugged album. The 1992 one was AMAZING!

  • I just started reading Eric's autobiography.

He was THE hero guitar player for all of us in the late 60's and 70's.

  • this song is so nice

  • There is something very special about Eric Clapton regardless of his detractors. His voice has always seemed to fit perfectly with his guitar playing. Sheer Genius.

  • he never even had a guitar teacher .. LETS GO ISLANDERS

  • He has a love hate relationship with touring doesn't he?

  • love this song it´s so fucking great ! he can play with the feelings of a thousand people!

  • Eric is simply amazing from the music he produces to the life story he brings us.

  • this is supreme guitar playing ,this kind of playing is well harder than most people think, one of the hardest in my opinion!! play tis faultless-ly then call urself accomplished!

  • nothing to say

  • WOW! This guy just knows how to age gracfully.

He is in it for the long haul for sure. Other same era artists should look at EC to see how its done.

  • no, alicia keys is skeet. her newist song is like "refrian" over and over. no one, no one no one can get in the way of what im feeling. ten minutes later, same thing over. her songs are too basic for clapton to play with.

  • He is a legend. An amazing voice that keeps getting better, blazing guitar skills. The best blues, ballads...everything..and yeah, he looks like a kind again man.

  • if i get back home

    man what a touching song

  • Sweet! no wonder I tell everyone he's my sweet baby! lol..and gets sweeter all the time...

  • I dont think anyone can disagree this man is a legend.

  • The best, no one is a close second.

  • he is ageing quite well

  • your right.. he gets soother, and faster, just amazing.

  • Try the album (Back Home 2005) His best. Not fiery but elegant with tasty licks, catchy lyrics. Also Reptile (2001)

  • i love the reptile albumn... i really like the song... little girl, lots of jazz

  • Sweet. Nice one eric.

  • sweet guitar white

  • Earache claton again....

  • Nice! Anythings else from "Back Home". I can't find anything else for that CD.

  • BLUES IS IN MY BLOOD

  • Peaceful! Thanks for Adding this video Diederik50. It's good to express yourself.

  • I understand where he is coming from but i miss the bite he once had.

  • oh he till has bite. believe me, i saw him back in March and i thought i had been hit by lightning

  • I think you may be right from what I have heard.

but i do miss the hard delta edge he once had.

"ramblin" with the blues breakers just very honest and true. The sessions for Robert Johnson

would have been much better. Then Me and Mr Johnson.Sometimes he is way too mellow and aiming for the masses

  • well, he has said many times that he has no idea what peope like and he just plays what he wants and hopes people will like it. I think sometimes he ust enjoys plaing mellow music. It cant all be fast electric guitar solos and marshall stacks
