Jesus came not to destroy the Law but to fulfill it. However, he did replace old rites and signs for new ones, thus renewing the true God's religion. This means, same religion, new rite and traditions.
A problem here is that the Greek does *not* say the women came to the tomb on the "first day".The word "day" is missing from *all* the texts, and "mia" is translated "first" only 7 times out of 358 occurrances, where it normally means "one of",not "first".Protos is "first" in Greek.Anyone interested should learn a little Greek(not rely on literal interpretations)and examine the resurrection texts very closely, paying close attention to plural and singular forms of"Sabbath".Do they both mean "week"?
The Bible is all I need. (2 Tim 3:16) You go by what man says and not God. First day of the week is Sunday!!! Understand. 7th day is not mentioned nor is it implied. You don't make sense then. Saturday night meeting and they left on Sunday morning? Then they waited an extra day! Hello! You contradict Genesis 1. You don't even believe what you read. why couldn't it have been Sunday night meeting and left Sunday morning, which sounds more resonable if you go by Genesis 1:5. LOL!
Sorry buddy, I go by the Words of My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Bible. The 10 Commandments are just TOOO plain to miss and for the christian, we obey out of Love as Jesus commands us to if we Love Him. I ask you again, are you telling everyone that the 10 commandments are done away with, but we still have to obey 9 of them? You are inconsistent.
Act 20:7. FOr it to be a Saturday night meeting and then Paul leaves Sunday morning, all you have to do is check out some history on the time keeping of Jews during his time. You are interpreting the Bible BY TODAYS methods and incorrectly so. You would NOT interpret some words in the King James by todays definitions, would you? So why would you NOT follow scriptures time keeping method of evening then morning for a day and Jewish history tells us this is how they kept track of their days also.
No offense taken. "By Him" means by himself at his home?? So she sat by him, would mean she sat by herself at his home? Nope, doesn't sound right. Thats twisting scripture to your own liking.
This is a straw man argument. Almost everyone knows context is what drives the meaning behind the words. Just like Yom doesn't always mean a literal 24 day, but can be a period of time, or the day portion of a day (12 hours of light). Context indicates that "by him" in 1 Col 16:2 simply means, by his side, at home is indicated by the rest of the passage as directed by the apostle and scripture and how to keep the Sabbath Holy as God commands us that love Him.
but it wasn't the sabbath. They would have mentioned 7th day or sabbath. Where exactly is their homes indicated in the passages b/c I can't find it? Where oh where does it say that? Simply put scripture says first day of the week (Sunday). The collection is ordered to churches on Sunday. We have become DEAD to the law thanks to Jesus Christ. (Rom. 7:4-7)
It was a Saturday night meeting and the apostle left Sunday morning. God's time keeping is the dark part of the day 1st then light (READ GENESIS 1), not the way we tell time today. Do some research please.
Acts 20:7 - They broke bread and Paul taught ON the first day of the week (SUNDAY) till midnight and intended to leave the next day (Monday), it clearly say's it right there. There is no saturday night meeting in the verse.
See the King James Bible, American Standard, English revised, New American Standard,
Paul preached on the first day of the week (Sunday)
Please read Genesis chapter 1. The Bible clearly reveals that God's time keeping has always been the dark part of the day first AND then the light part = 1 day. You assume Paul preached Sunday morning, when in fact it was Saturday night and then Paul traveled Sunday morning. Please produce ONE scripture that says the 7th day Sabbath of the 10 commandments has been transfered to the 1st day, Sunday.
God rested on 7th day not man. Do you understand the sabbath was introduced with Moses. No scripture shows that anyone before observed it, not Adam to Joseph. I assume nothing friend. You assume that I assume. stop assuming. Never did I say morning. Never does the new testament give us a certain time of day on Sunday to worship. If so, prove it? It just says he taught on Sunday. It hasn't been transferred. They are seperate. Christians aren't given a command to keep the sabbath, Israel was.
God the Father AND God the Son BOTH kept the Sabbath (7th day) Holy according to His Word.
The example of obeying the 10 commandments is too plain. GOd (after they ignored His mercies) had to cast down judgments on Israel for TWO things primarily in Old Testament. Idolatry and not keeping His Sabbath day Holy. We still have this problem today with modern day Christians. Jesus it made it very clear, not one jot or title of the law would pass away until ALL was fulfilled.
Jesus's sacrifice was FINISHED on the Cross, yes. However their is still sin in the world, Jesus must return a second time, prophecy must be fulfilled and when that does, then ALL has been fulfilled. 10 Commandments were spoken by GOd, written with His finger and in the new covenant, these are the laws written on the heart and you can only keep them with Love for Him who has saved us. YOU are SPIRITUAL Israel, grafted INTO the stock. Not one covenant is EVERY made with gentiles.
EVERYTHING that had originally been reserved for the nation of Israel before it had rejected its Messiah, has gone on to the Gentiles, except for its now-obsolete sacrificial system which had pointed the way to Christ's sacrifice.
I believe Ellen White would wish to have had only the 4th commandment instead of Ten because she thought that by keeping the 4th comm. one has perfected the whole commandments. That's not what James 2:10 says. She has been nothing but an opposition to the bible.
Wow. No offense but you clearly do not understand her stance on the Sabbath. In fact, it was brought to the adventist movement from 7th-day Baptists - Rachel Oaks through bible study long before the organization of the Seventh-day Adventist church or E Whites vision on the sabbath. E White over and over and over says go to Jesus and the Bible, obey God. Jesus is our SOLE source of salvation, not of works either, although if we are in the faith our good works will be the natural result.
That's all we can do, present the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit convict the heart and lead to repentance, faith & willing obedience to His will. GBU as well!
You are sorely mistaken. The weekly 7th day Sabbath is a part of the 10 Commandments. Are you telling Christians they are NOT suppose to obey the 10 Commandments by the Grace of God (not in our own strength as the nation of Israel tried to)?
Ten commandments are part of the mosaic law. They were given by God at the time and Israel followed them, just like sacrifices, levitical priest, holy days. you are gravely mistaken. Jesus fulfilled the law. ALL OF IT. Matt 5:17-18. How? By dying, the law and 10 commandments were gone. He said, "IT IS FINISHED" Jno.19:30. Veil of temple was torn Matt. 27:51. Replaced by Jesus' law, he intensifies all the commands with exception of the sabbath day. Want proof? (Col 2:13-17)
THINK! You just basically said because Jesus said "it is finished" that we can commit adultery, idolatry, worship other Gods, lie cheat, steal because He did away with it. You are so wrong and I pray you are not teaching people this. You are twisting scripture to your own destruction. Jesus came to MAGNIFY the meaning of His HOlY and perfect law. This can ONLY be the moral/health laws given by God and not the animal sacrifices. Watch my other videos, I address it all with scripture.
Thank you so much for a great Bible study on our Lord's 7 day Sabbath. This has got to be the best video that I have seen on YT showing God's Sabbath. Thank you again and may our Lord keep blessing you with His wisdom and the understanding of it.

Gen 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
Gen 1:8 ... And the evening and the morning were the second day.
Gen 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.
Shall I go on? As I said God's time keeping for a day goes evening and THEN the morning for a 24 day.
