I remember. We danced to have fun. I was there. It was just called Bandstand in Philly, until it went nationwide. We even made up dance steps. What Bunny is laughing at is that the Churches, were telling parents and kids that Rock and Roll was Satan's music. It was going to corrupt our minds. We were mild as compared to todays music and dances.

Hi Tmax, The memory of those days will be with us forever....."No Matter What, Keep on Dancing" is my motto..... my .BunnyGibson site has more American Bandstand memories..... Enjoy, Bunny
@berezin99 Who cares what you think hillbilly ? This was back when people respected the USA and wanted to be Americans. Now the only kind of immigrants you attract are third world Mexicans. USA=Bloated Empire with crumbling infrastructure and huge debt. IMF will be coming for your heads pretty soon haha, Losers ! Ohhhh Canada !!!
I remember living in Putnam Conn., during the 1950's. I knew a girl named Janice Lavallee who lived with her Grandmother upstairs. I would go upstairs after school and watch bandstand with her until her grandmother came home and then go down the front stairs as her gm came up the back....Wherever you are Janice - I hope you are well................Love that show - those days were great.......Thanks for posting............
I first saw Bunny Gibson on American Bandstand in 1959-60 and said WOW. Fast forward, I contacted Bunny in 2006 following her very serious auto accident and in 2008 chatted with her. Still a WOW!
I remember Justine, Arlene and Kenny.

Very cool... I think I watched this series. Looks familiar.
"American Bandstand" was on so long, I grew up with it during my teens years too, in the '80s;-) That says a LOT.
