That D-Backs team was one of the worst offensive teams ever and really outside of Schilling and The Big Dick (I cant stand him and neither can any other Yankee fan) not much of a rotation or bullpen.
Schilling and The Big Dick shut us down in 1, 2, 6, and 7 and that made the difference. Not to mention all 4 of those games were at home.

I was fortunate to have attended games 1,6,and 7 of this Series and the experience was a defining moment in my life. The 2001 Series was instrumental in the healing of NY and America and I will never forget the electifying feeling of patriotism inside that stadium with the deafening chants of "USA! USA!" In some ways, a very poetic endind to the Yankee Dynasty. But watching the end of Game 7 still makes me numb. I wasn't mad, I just couldn't believe it. We had no business winning this series anyway with the way we hit. But like always, we nearly miracled our way to a Four-peat. It just wasn't meant to be. I'll always love that team though. Four pennants and three titles in four years. We Yankee fans will always have the memories, even the bad ones.

Dude I'm a diehard Arizona EVERYTHING (D-Backs, Cards, Suns, Coyotes, and Wildcats) fan and hate all the NY teams with a passion, so obviously the 2001 World Series was one of my greatest moments as a sports fan. I feel the D-Backs completely deserved the title in 2001, and if the Yankees or Mets never win another WS title, that would still be too soon for my liking.

I'm 15 right now and I got to go to game 7 by luck. The next day I was leaving the hotel me and my mom and my dad were at and these two guys asked if we could go to game 7, would we. We said yes and these two guys gave my dad and i two tickets for game 7. I will never forget that day. My dad pasted away very resently from mylodysplastic syndrome and thinking about this game always makes me sad, but happy remembering the good times i had with my dad.

Even though I'm an Atlanta Braves fan, but I give the 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks all of my respect, because they've showed heart and passion...And my homies, Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson was doing big things!!!!!...Takes me back 2 sixth grade, but the 9-11 was really depressing, but we did have one of the greatest World Series ever.

Yes!! I was at game 7 of that World Series!! I was 10 years old at the time, and had just moved to AZ that year. That game pretty much made me a baseball fan and D'backs fan for life. Awesome video!!

In some ways, a very poetic endind to the Yankee Dynasty. But watching the end of Game 7 still makes me numb. I wasn't mad, I just couldn't believe it. We had no business winning this series anyway with the way we hit. But like always, we nearly miracled our way to a Four-peat. It just wasn't meant to be. I'll always love that team though. Four pennants and three titles in four years. We Yankee fans will always have the memories, even the bad ones.

From 1998 to 2001 they had virtually the same team. The D-Backs had Unit, Schilling, and a bunch of position players from other teams. I'm not knocking them, they were great. But try to remember it the way it really was

Dude I'm a diehard Arizona EVERYTHING (D-Backs, Cards, Suns, Coyotes, and Wildcats) fan and hate all the NY teams with a passion, so obviously the 2001 World Series was one of my greatest moments as a sports fan. I feel the D-Backs completely deserved the title in 2001, and if the Yankees or Mets never win another WS title, that would still be too soon for my liking.

I'm 15 right now and I got to go to game 7 by luck. The next day I was leaving the hotel me and my mom and my dad were at and these two guys asked if we could go to game 7, would we. We said yes and these two guys gave my dad and i two tickets for game 7. I will never forget that day. My dad pasted away very resently from mylodysplastic syndrome and thinking about this game always makes me sad, but happy remembering the good times i had with my dad.
